I thought Assassin's Creed 2 had a great ending.

It made sense if you were paying attention, which apparently (and quite dishearteningly) no one was.
yes it may have made sense but that doesn't mean it was good, it destroyed all what I liked about the first one with the ending as it felt a generic escape that the writers used so they wouldn't have to write something as cool as the first.

It was hardly generic.

It played on the idea of what exactly a god is (they weren't fucking aliens people) and gives an origin for the pieces of eden. It denounces a lot of religion too, which is always nice.

It's actually pretty high-brow, especially for a game. Not to mention that Ezio's whole purpose in life was to be a messenger boy for reasons he couldn't understand; poignant stuff.

the bit in wolverine (game) where you have to jump from helicopter to helicopter. fucking stupid... it wasn't a great game anyway, but that was just a pain in the arse.

This, ARG. That pissed me off so much.

I guess at the end of Force Unleashed when

They somehow manage to wrangle a sequel out of it even though Starkiller dies, but comes back to life and isn't dead for the second game through some arbitrary nature.......

Can someone help me out with that logic, or have I missed something?
Wasen't the point that he maybe/maybe not has been cloned because off his prowess and is actually vaders secret weapon(an army of super power jedi master loyal only to him?).

I have no idea, I just remember the trailer for TFU2 and seeing that he was back.
But cloning seems to be the reason most people have given me, and to quote Mr Croshaw, it just smells like "all purpose plot insulation".

Mirrors Edge - Hey this is awesome, running on rooftops has never been so fun, the fuck? Why have I just spent the last hour in nothing but underground tunnels and in air vents.

Yeah, as it turns out, the Starkiller in #2 is a Vader-sponsered test tube baby, and it's about him trying to figure out why he can remember flashes of the first one's life.

On-topic, I'd like to mention that bit at the end of Mass Effect 2. You all know the part I'm talking about.

In Silent Hill 4: The Room, Cynthia's first appearance killed the entire game for me. Not that there weren't several other fatal wounds throughout the 3 levels that I played, but her slutty attitude put all the nails in the coffin even before it was full.
Her outfit killed it for you? How about how you have to escort her for the rest (as far as I know) of the game. Or the fact that she's a LOT slower than you, in a game that encourages running away. Or how if she gets hurt, the final fight gets harder. Or how the clumsy combat makes protecting her that much harder.

Dammit Silent Hill 4. NO ESCORT MISSIONS. They took the worst gameplay mechanic, and made it absolutely unbearable.

This. I liked the idea of bridging the gap between Revenge and New Hope and the idea of Vader trying to overthrow Palpatine isn't that far-fetched since it's how The Sith operate anyway. I liked the overall story. I liked the cannon ending. What I don't like is the fact that the sequel is being made. Is that supposed to be cannon? If so than I will finally join the, 'Angry at George Lucas' bandwagon.

No. The fact Lucas lives as a Zombie and impregnates that woman. Then he runs off to fight an ancient mystical cult and a rouge AI programme with a army of homeless people.

It was just so stupid.
What the... That sounds fucking AWESOME! I'm buying that game right now!

Movie: The moment when "Where the Wild Things Are" became a soul drainingly depressing experience rather than a cute, heartwarming puppet adventure. EVERYONE HAS SUCH INTENSE EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS IN THAT MOVIE.

Game: The moment "Prototype" takes all the whiz-bang kaboom awesome tank banging in the intro and then drops you on your head with a total draining of all your power. It's the only time I've ever experienced what is commonly referred to as a "cock tease" in a video game.
That cock tease you mentioned happens to be one of my most hated tropes in gaming. Are the developers too lazy to let you start off the game with the ability to say, "A god am I" and still make the game challenging? The worst are the ones that save the best abilities for the last level and then after you beat it don't allow you to play through with all the abilities. You end up being fully powered for one level that usually just starts and ends with you fighting the big bad.

Well, apparently...

Darth Vader keeps a stash of starkiller clones on ice, just in case, who, in the case of FU2 (hehe, I just noticed that, god I'm immature) sometimes inherit the memories of the former starkillers, and thus go on a murderous vengence rampage. Yeah.

Personally, it has to be the appearance of the flood in every halo trilogy game. It didn't "ruin" the games for me, but as soon as they showed up, you knew you were in for some frustrating sections. I suppose, though, they weren't so bad in halo 2, and for the most part of halo 3 they managed to avoid being too annoying, except from the level "cortana". Oh god, if only one game section is likely to prove the media right and cause mass psychosis, it's that damn level. Or the library.

Contact.

Why even have the terrorist scene, and then bullcrap a second machine? That is just bad story telling!
