San Andreas Flying School and Flying Missions.
Mako from Mass Effect.

Gears of War Vehicle section wasn't that bad.I finished it on Insane in three tries.

Controlling the vehicles in Halo:CE was murder. Accelerate/brake with the cursors and steer with the mouse? Didn't suit me at all.

Half-life 2: I enjoyed both the Airboat and Buggy and the Sports car in the latest, I don't know where the hell everyone else's problem is...(PC GAMER)
Crysis: I didn't find it difficult to drive the tank but I did hate the jeeps...
Battlefield 1942: Flying is Awesome and I'll always run for a bomber or fighter
Battlefield Vietnam: Planes are admittedly very difficult to do well at flying, but I pwn in a helicopter
Battlefield 2: Teh Awesome in all Aspects
Battlefield 2142: Although I have a joystick it's just plain easier to fly the Gunships with mouse and keyboard....Air Transports don't require much ability....Love the Type-92 Hover Tank in it

As a sidenote: Consoles were invented for those that couldn't afford to get themselves a computer, correct? However for the same cost of a PS3 you can make a computer that runs better than it.

The first time I played Half-Life 2, the vehicle sections were brutal. This was mostly because I had been playing Mass Effect a lot and was really used to the steering on the MAKO. Second playthrough of Half-Life 2 was a lot better, though. I agree with most people that the airboat was worse than the car. The controls were pretty useless on that thing.

I found Mass Effect's MAKO to be really easy to drive (except on really steep hills...that was agonising), but it required a lot of patience. About half the game was just driving from point A to point B on random planets, and most of them didn't even have any vehicle-based combat to break it up. Mildly maddening on subsequent playthroughs...

Ive played the 360 version of HL2 and the PC version the driving sections are equally horrible regardless of the control scheme in use.

I really disliked the driving section in Gears of War.
It was really unnecessary but more so it simply wasn't any fun.

halo3 ending - just copying the first game's - fucking lazy
mercenaries - last mission your tank needs to last the whole level when it dies in 3 rockets/enemy tank shells. the path you have to take has a lot of tanks, rocket infantry attack helis, tow hummers and i think rocket turrets. at first you have 2 assist tanks but after an objective you have to go solo
PGR3 - slight tap and you do a 180 full speed ram on an opponents car - no effect

Really old vehicle section I hated: the part where you have to fly the carpet out of the Cave of Wonders in the old SNES Aladdin game. Man, I could never beat that thing; it literally took me months of trying.

Then of course I replayed the game two years ago, and did it the first time. Man, how things have changed.

But by then you have moved on and had don't much care about the game right?

Imagine you have a cow. Now, you want to take the cow to market, so you plonk it into your wheelbarrow and away you go. But there's these people who don't want you to sell your cow (yeah, you're gonna sell your cow), and they're shooting you with powerful long-range weaponry. You fire back, but all you have is a water pistol and a giant pump-action foam rocket. In the end, you're so caught up firing that you crash your cow half the time.

The Mako land rover from Mass Effect makes baby Jesus cry.

I got two and it's a tie gears' stop go kill the krill drive two feet repeat until board section and the mako because a lot of the planets terrain is to steep for it to drive over and when an enemy glitches into my mako and the mako itself thinks its time to dance and starts uncontrollably flipping and spinning around.

I think I have to say GoW. Halo 3 gets a mention because they lacked the spark and awe of the previous titles.

I think the consensus is clear:

Any vehicle section where you can't drive and shoot at the same time, either through some kind of mechanical enforcement (like in Gears of War or Uncharted), or because the controls are just too fucking awful to practicably do so (like Mass Effect or Half Life 2)

Like many others have said I hate the Maka from Mass Effect, especially when a frigging Thresher Maw (Or big ass teethy worm for those who haven't played the game) came out of the ground, and these things blow up your cow almost immediately, so it took me quite a long time of swurving and flipping until I finally managed to land ONE HIT. Madness.

*Cough* SimCity 4 *Cough* Ever tried doing the driving tasks there? You'll crash if you are close to the pavement!
Rush Hour does, indeed, take the biscuit. People complain about having bad control of their vehicles? How about having zero control, no real route planned out and an inconsistent camera? Imagine that, and you're only around half way there to experiencing the horrors which were the driving sections on SC4.
