I'd had a late night and a nightmare. I woke up with my cat sleeping on my face, rolled out of bed and stepped on a moist hairball that he had tactically left on my floor. I was barefoot.

My other worst one is when I rolled out of bed at 4 am, awoken by my cat (again), was halfway down the stairs when he got under my feet and I fell down the stairs, breaking my pinkie finger.

Remind me why I have a cat again?

I was sleeping on the floor because I am lazy and awoke to find my dog over me, only to roll away seconds later as she puked right where my head was.

I actually have a truly bad one but it's depressing and disgusting and personal all at the same time, yay.

About a year ago, my mom woke me up by saying "Wake up! Graapus (my cat, whom I had had for 10 years) is dead".

I jumped out of bed and walked outside in only my boxers to find my deceased cat lying on her side by the front door.

For some reason (shock or something, I guess) I didn't feel tired at all that morning.

Do I win?

Edit: As for best wake up: Her kittens climbing into my bed and licking my ear used to be a great way to wake up.
goddamn that's horrible how did it die?

I woke up to find my mum sitting on the end of my bed, on my Netbook, going through my History...
She looked at me and said "Matt, I'm surprised at you." and walked out the room.

Some years back I woke up unable to move my hands.
It was pretty suckage. I could barely feel them and I could not move them at all.
Lucky for me walking around a bit got the blood flowing back into them.
Turns out I was lying down on them and ended up cutting the circulation to them.

That I do not know. She had no visible injuries.

The week prior to her death I noticed her stomach looked somewhat larger than normal, as if she was pregnant. The other members of my family did not think it looked like that though. I personally theorize that her death was somehow linked to my observation, but I can not say for sure.

We have been considering cancer as a possible reason for her death.

The worst time ever must have been a few weeks ago.
Apparently I had fallen asleep while reaching for my alarm clock, and woke up an hour later by sliding off my bed and face planting the floor...

It hurt like a motherf***er, and I was late for work as well.

Probably when my house caught on fire in high school and I was dead asleep until my mom woke me up in my smoke filled room.
It was very frightening to realize that I might have slept until my bedsheets were on fire. The fire also cut off power in half the house so I might have fallen down the stairs and hit my head or who knows what.

I was having this dream that I was walking through a Scooby Doo style haunted house, and I opened a door. On the other side of the doorway was pitch black nothingness. I step through the doorway, and there's no floor on the other side, so I start falling. At this point I wake up to discover I was sitting up in my bed and had begun to fall backwards. I got the idea I was falling really far from the dream+ the actual sensation of falling. Scared the shit out of me.

I was woken at five in the morning recently by a dream involving an encounter with a device that was some combination of meat packing plant, blender, chainsaw and something you'd find in the SCP foundation.

I didn't get back to sleep for two hours, by then it was time to get up. Dreams about eight-foot long giant spiders? fine, give me two minutes. But god damn it subconscious, cut that weird shit out.

Try waking up half way a street.
I was walking home from school one day and I was incredibly tired, while walking I ended up falling asleep while walking and then woke up still walking and I was quite scared because I missed my turning and was quite young.
