So, the other day my friend dumped his girlfriend. not the way in telling her, but just leaving her.

He went across the country for a month to visit his grandmother, and he met a very nice girl and started to go out with her. i did not know this was happening at the time. so, after we left, i found out he just left her there, with no explanation at all.

So my fellow escapists, any stories similar to this you want to share?

Most of the "couples" in my school dump each other with text messages... it's really stupid.

What about the fellow who declared he wanted a divorce on Facebook. Ha.

I believe that's happened a ton of times, by both men and women

Through text, though to be fair, we really only needed to say it each other. The relationship was dead at that point, all it needed was a small formal split.

eh i dumped my girlfriend over facebook, but she deserved it so i didnt feel bad, but if the relationship meant a lot to me, then I would consider facebook on of the worst, it should (almost) always be in person, but sometimes it's called for

on the other end of the spectrum SKype. that one was good atleast it was sorta face to face.

I have a friend who told his girlfriend he wanted to break up. She said "no", and he said "ok". This is a terrible way to dump a girl...although I'm sure it's not what you were asking for.

Dating in middle school is pointless to me, ever break up then will seem like the worst. 'Oh now I have nobody to hug in the hallways and tell my secrets too boo hoo" but as you get older the worst way would have to be by not letting them in the bomb shelter as America was going to get attacked.

i live in the netherlands, in europe.
A friend of mine had a girlfriend in San Fransisco while he was living in Amsterdam, the Nether;amds. It was a really though relationship because of the distance so one day he flew to SF met up wih his GF on the airport said it was over and took the next flight to the netherlands. He was in SF for 5 hours I belive the flight time is something like 10 hours one way!

I thought he overdid it a little bit a call would have been enough i think.

One of my girlfriends was very indecisive and didn't know whether she wanted to break up with me or not, so she found my ex girlfriend in town (the one I never got over and my gf knew it) and sought her advise. She persuaded her to dump me. When breaking up with me she didn't see what was wrong with what she did. Its not nice picturing two people you've loved bitching about your flaws and laughing at you.

Honestly, I think that to the face is one of the worst and here is why.
Face to face:
"Yeah, I think it's best if we are no longer together"
"Oh, okay... so... you want to still hang out? should one of us walk away? I mean I guess I could wait for the next bus, but that doesn't come for an hour..."
*awkward silence*

On the phone:
"Yeah, I think it's best if we are no longer together"
"Oh, okay... well, I guess I'll talk to you later"
*click*

Skype. We had some trouble, so I sent her a message just saying that she shouldn't feel pressured, I trusted her to make the decisions she needed to, lots of other supportive things (personal to us) that I really believed.

Unfortunately, the decision she needed to make was to dump me in a Skype message moments after I had effectively declared my love for her (which she knew was a big deal, given that she knew how messed up I had been before I met her)

In the river. Seriously have you people watched any crime shows at all? The body always washes back to shore, maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but it will happen.

At least weigh them down with something.
