You aren't anywhere near Buffalo are you? I tried to go on the highway on Dec. 18th but they closed the whole thing. Had to wait until 5:30 Saturday morning to get home.
Nope. Beckley, West Virginia. [sub]And no I do not talk like a hick.[/sub]
That was a really big storm then if you guys got it so bad. And I wasn't even going to ask that, but it is definitely noted.

My school is the only one for miles and miles around that is still open ... despite not having a working boiler/heater, having half the staff not being able to get here because they live in Wales, and also having the vast majority of students not being able to attend anyway because they need buses and they've stopped.

I am not a happy one :(

What is this Global warming they speak of??

According to weather reports, we'll have -40C. God bless Sweden. It's good actually, I get to start saying "In your face, Al Gore."
Uhhh, guys? That's why it's called Climate Change; "Global Warming" is sooooo 1990s! (Whether the Change is caused by humans or not is irrelevant to my point).

Oregon(and by that I mean the Willamette Valley and the coast)'s had it's normal winter weather. Raining.
Same here. The northwest usually avoids bad weather when it hits the whole country. It's just rainy and wet like always, but I'm native to this area so I'm okay with that.

Grey skies make me nostalgic.

It's hot, very hot... 41C (105.8F). We get up to a week of 40+ degree weather a few times a year.

I'm in Western New York. We're having a typical winter, with a bit of a cold snap right now. Nothing I can't handle.

It's sodding cold. Other than that, it's not really affecting me much at all. Having arrived back at university a week early due to the sort of mind-boggling stupidity that makes me question whether I should be here at all, I have nothing to do and will be spending most of the week asleep. It was originally "asleep or drunk" but I drank the last of my beer last night and I'm not going out in the snow to get more.

I'm totally used to it, winter temperatures where I live can reach -20 below, easily.

I live in Upper Michigan; mind you.
