I have never ever heard it called the laser rifle and it is not for lack of time spent on the game. Also every single rifle can basically do that. In fact the the M14 is better at it than the M16. Also the M16 really falls short in close range and is only truly suited to mid range and with practise long range. Even with the long range you are banking on the possibility that the person is good with the weapon. All in all it is not a weapon that needs balancing.[/quote]

Umm... what? Have you actually played cod4?

Bad Company 2 is different. It's more intense and team oriented. You might like it. Rent it first, give it some time, unlock some weapons and play with some friends. It's a very good game, technically speaking.

I think you would enjoy it. Feels more like a real war.

And that my friend is why they made C4! Seriously, I love using C4 on tanks. Also, Machine Guns are really good against Helicopters.

I hate MW2 with every fiber of my being.

I was also a massive hater to the point of becoming a hater of BC2 by default because i heard it was a little bit like MW2.

Well, i was at a co-workers place a few months ago and he was playing it.

Im here to say, i was the biggest fool around.

MW2 and BC2 are NOTHING ALIKE WHATSOEVER - Except perhaps a modern setting and US vs Russia theme.

I actually was a hater of online shooters, and online gaming in general (strictly in line with Yatzee's thesis that if you arent playing with people in the same room with you, then whats the point?). BC2 was the game that made me eat my words. I like online gaming with BC2, and i play it at least once a week for an hour or so.

Buy it - Its fantastic.

Spec into extra explosives and wire a building containing an objective with C4.

I love C4

The only changes I wanted from the multiplayer of the first game were to have no more M16 and to make bullets.
Wha...? A gun doesn't make bullets, it shoots them. The M16 is godamnelly good gun, and even better with that perk that does more damage (name, anyone?).

I'll have to admit that the M16 was my favorite weapon in the first Modern Warfare 1. In MW2 I use the ACR, for pretty obvious reasons.

And I believe the term you're looking for is: I wanted the M16 to fire full auto.

I think it's funny as hell to sneak into the enemy base c4 up a tank then hide in the bushes waiting for the enemy to enter so you can let them drive 2 ft before blasting them.

A real war.

...Well count me out.

Of course I'm only being an ass. If by a real war you mean 'no blokes dual wielding 18th century shotguns' or 'no crazy fast assholes who teleport when stabbing', then by all means, count me in.

Just go and rent it. I could explain how sweet the game is, but I'll let these guys do it for me:
Those two guys sound like complete and utter douchebags. And I hope they die. Soon.

Although those 10 reasons do make BC2 sound better than MW2. Except numero cinco, I didn't get it, maybe they were talking in gamer langue.

Avoid BFBC2 if you're a PC gamer though.

'Cause you know what a real war feels like, right?

I mean, Jesus. I really don't know what the fascination is with realism is. MW2 is NOT realistic; in real life, you get shot, you fall over and start bleeding. Die, often. You don't jiggle about a little bit and start shooting back.
Which doesn't make it bad game. It's called a GAME, after all.

In any case, I don't really like either much (I'm a fan of Halo), but I don't see why we need to knock other people's fun.

What was wrong with the M16 it only fired in bursts?
For any good player the M16 is a 1 shot kill a large majority of the time... From over 9000 miles away. There's a reason it was nicknamed the laser rifle.

That's probably because you didn't read the original post closely and realize that I'm talking about the first MW game? If you knew this, then you're straight wrong. It grouped with perfect precision on a still shot from any range and if you found it ineffective at close range I'm sorry but this is a problem with you not the gun. One burst kill every time. And this just shows how much they fucked up MW2 when the M16 is considered mediocre.

Don't you mean the FAMAS?

Jesus Christ on rubber crutches. I don't mean to be offensive but you really have no idea what you're talking about so please pay attention or something. If I meant FAMAS I would have said FAMAS not M16 they're both burst fire and I was talking about COD4 which doesn't even have a FAMAS. All of this leads me to believe you didn't actually read the original post but stumbled upon the quoted words out of context through some sort of ancient portal.
