Would the world be a better place without X

Let's not argue about religion, but something more original. How about, would the world be better if suddenly everyone woke up with a symbol on their forehead that shifts according to mood, so that everyone at all times know exactly what you're feeling unless you go out of your way to hide it?

You can't get away with lying - deliberate crime would take a nose dive, although crimes of passion would probably go up quite a lot, at least at first. Meet a nice girl who doesn't run away at the sight of your forehead erection? You'll be able to be completely honest and she will be able to trust you. That goes for all sorts of relationships, so brace yourself to find out who your friends really are.

Politicians will strongly advocate the right to wear a big hat when addressing the people, and we'll call them crooks and they'll be unable to deny it. Within one electoral cycle we'll have leaders who can be trusted, probably people who don't want power and therefore are more likely to use it responsibly.

Looks pretty good to me, but I'm sure you can find some problems.

I think the title of the thread is misleading. I thought you meant "Would the world be a better place without ecstasy". Well. It seems I was wrong.

I have no idea what you were actually talking about but I hear ecstasy is very popular in Israel. That's important for me to know, I'm moving there if Palin ends up in the White House and I want to fit in when I get there.

Honestly, from the little that I've seen, it seems that the detriments of MMOs outweigh the benefits.... Plus, MMOs have that horrible thing called 'grind' in them that makes me cringe.....
