I dunno if I could survive an entire year, but i have managed about 3-4 months, although that was more of a drought than abstinence...

I may attempt it for the hell of it. For Science!!

Possibly. Truthfully, I would get alot more stuff done. So it would probably be one of the most productive years of my life.

If no good titles came out, then maybe. I've gone for over two months once.

I've done it before, but I had no access to any sort of personally owned electronics for that year...

If it wasn't forced on me by circumstance, though... if it was just something I agreed to with no enforcement... no. I'd sneak 'em in when people thought I was sleeping, like a fat kid on a diet with candy bars.

No video games for a year- easy. I've done that a few times myself anyway.
If you are including playing cards or sporting, it'd be impossible.

If not, in what case would you do so?
Hell to the motherf*cking NO I can't go a week without going to the gym let alone a game.

Sorry, but even video game music is enough to set me off.

Without a problem. Actually i haven't played anything for about week already, mostly due to fact that nothing interesting for me came out recently. Got plenty of other things to do on my PC however, and there is always the vast internet.

Year without gaming - easy. Year without internet - a lot harder.

Could I? Absolutely. Would I want too? Uh... no.

What would it take? Well if there's some type of money-related prize then sure! I'd get right on that.

I did it for 2 years, because my PS2 stopped working and I was too cheap to replace it. And in a strange coincidence they were the 2 most productive years of my life. I wonder why, better go play Bad Company to think about it.

I've barely played video games for a year now so sure, I could do it. I'm too busy for video games these days so I don't even know what upcoming releases I should look forward to... With the obvious exception of Saints Row: The Third. But sure, I could do it.

I'd be so terribly bored that one year would feel like a decade. I can't even go to work without a handheld of some kind to play on breaks.

I *could*, but why would I want to? It's not like it would even be that hard, other than the fact that I game with my friends online quite a bit, and so I'd miss that. But I'd just play more tennis (when my ankle finishes healing), sew more, watch more movies, and read more books. But, again, why? What would the point be?

I could but I don't see why I would have to. Unless I somehow became dirt poor and needed to spend what little money I have on food.

I could easily. Of course I'd still buy games because some of the ones I like can become really rare really quickly.

But yeah, I could go a year without playing video games. I have other hobbies. I can read, I can watch TV, I can work on my comics.

Video games are fun, but they're hardly the focus of my life.

The first month would be the hardest.

If I can make it through that, might just be able to deal with my technology addiction (I'm throwing in computer addiction too since games run on them).

With enough motivation, I certainly could. However, "enough" is a word with varying definitions.
