Tbh I think if there was a Zombie apocolypse happening outside by flat even as I'm typing this I probably wouldn't notice for a week or so, or at least until the internet and power cuts off, THEN I'M PISSED!

I would avoid said person, and leave the crying of "Zombie Apocalypse!" to whatever doctor or scientist or shady goverment organization lets us know that there is indeed a zombie outbreak going down.

Absolutely id keep away, I would NOT make the same mistake that everyone in a zombie film makes.

That is to think that the zombies are either, a drunk, an hallucination, someone in a costume, or a loved one who despite having half their neck ripped out must still be my living loved one and I must go up and hug them because they cant be a zombie.....right?

.....id probibly make my way to the Gun shop just for good measure XD

Like a person who walks like shit doesn't get noticed by anyone. And I'm pretty sure i'd keep my distance from overly-pale people. Blood stains and moanings would support my suspicions too.
But i'd never go into real action against it tough. Unless it broke my window. Than the ************'s gonna get it.

Well I'm a misanthropic jerk and tend to feel everyone passing me is a threat in some regard, so anybody lunging or attacking me overtly would set off plenty of alarms. I'm fairly hip to teh zombie lorez, so I expect to recognize any 'typical' zombies quickly. Then again I carry a folding knife (legal) with me and am going through with purchasing and carrying a CC firearm, so my immediate safety is fairly sure.

First, if it runs, it's not a zombie.

It's an infected.

Secondly, if it doesn't smell incredibly bad, it's not a zombie.

It's a guy in a suit.

Thirdly, if it has its palms facing the air instead of the ground, it's not a zomibe

It's a homeless man wanting change.

If it is none of these things, then it's probably a zombie.

So then I just turn around and out-walk it.
Ninja'd again...
Pretty much my thoughts exactly.

Hmm if i ever saw anything covered in blood or acting strange i would run as hell and then start to think about what might have happend.
On the other hand if i were with other people i would just make fun and say he looks like a zombie, and then wait for them to go closer, and if they get biten then i would scream and run as fast as i possibly could to my home...
But seriously a zombie outbreak in my country would be catastrophic since we have a very strict gunlaw and even the police only have handguns

Which ofc means nobody and i mean NOBODY (caps means im serious :p) owns a gun in my region
We dont even have a school shooting, the closest thing we had was some girl stabbing a bully with a swiss knife

I might assume crack head, but survival protocol is the same. Don't let it get close enough to bite you and don't share needles with it.

You technically can zombifie (Spelling?) a person with a special herd found somewhere in S. America, I think.

I'd probally be more likely to believe in a zombie if I didn't see one. I freak out a minor things.

"Holy shit, did that guy dribble? Is he a zombie? Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck, I'm gonna' die, I'm gonna' die..."

Depends on the level of decomposition. If it looked like a corpse I would probably high-tail it out of there. Either way, the best thing to do is not to draw attention to yourself.

more importantly, would the POLICE believe you?

"Hello 911 whats your situation?"

"Uh hi I need help at _______ and ______, there are zombies over running the whole place!"

"... say again sir?"

"I swear it just send help NOW!"

"Sir there are no such things as zombies, and if you call this line again with a false report I WILL send a car over and you WILL be in trouble, now have a nice day"

Limping, moaning, covered in blood...
Sounds like someone after a normal Friday night in my city.

I also saw 'How to survive a zombie apocalypse' at the Fringe festival in Scotland, hilarious. Wouldn't help me though.

In many of these hypothetical zombie threads, we have a plan of action for zombies/zombie apocalypses. However, while I was walking down the street I wondered what I would do if there was a zombie shambling around, or more importantly whether I would actually believe it was a zombie.

So I ask this to you my fellow Escapist members, if you saw someone shambling down the street looking convincingly like a zombie, would the thought of the person being an actual zombie seriously enter your thoughts or would you just think it was a out of place cosplayer? Would you avoid this person or monitor their actions to see if they bite anyone? Would you try warning other people around at the risk of looking silly? Etc...

Note: Although this involves a "zombie", try thinking about what you would logically in real life.
Was hoping you wouldn't have a nice elaborative post so I could simply answer "depends what he said".

Well to be fair I think 'zombies' are a possibility, not in the sense that they're resurrected from the dead so much as they are drones of people hoarding off to kill the free thinkers, trolls if you will. (That's unfair really, trolls are just people with opinions who are too blind to see past them, however I saw an oppertunity to insult a group of people and I wasn't quite sure who would be best suited for it)

...

I lost track, anyway supposing its just violent drones or perhaps some sort of hostile mutant looking people I would be able to accept it as it is though I'd have to see A) The 'zombie' hurting another person and B) someone getting infected.

If it was all zombie digging out of grave magic I think I would doubt it till its too late.

I would totally believe it.

It has to look like a Zombie though, not just a guy with a limp and bad posture
i won't acknowledge a zombie if he hasn't any rotten flesh.
