Would you ever move into a place you know someone died in?

You people ARE aware that someone or something has probably died in pretty much every spot of the Earth? There's literally no getting away from that, so even thinking about it is really a waste of time.

I probably would but it'd freak me out a bit at first.
Honestly, I prefer living in new houses as opposed to ones that have already been in. I like feeling like my room is my room.

My current room is the room where the original owner of the house committed suicide with a butcher knife...

.. I don't think I'd be bothered much...

I don't think it would really factor into my decision on moving into a place, cause I ain't afraid of no ghost. I figure that most houses have had someone die in them or on the grounds that they were built on (unless they are newly built.)

Not really, unless I knew the neighbourhood was violent. If they were murdered by a family member or friend or colleague, I've got nothing to worry about because they'll have no reason to murder me. If they were killed by a serial killer, I've got nothing to worry about because it's unlikely they'll attack the same house twice. If they die through any sort of lifestyle related disease, genetic disease, suicide or an accident, I've got nothing to worry about either.

But if, however, they have died due to an environmental disease such as, say, lead or mercury poisoning, or an asbestos related disease.... then obviously I'd steer clear.

As long as the house didn't kill them directly, then I've got NO PROBLEM moving into a house in which a person has died. I don't believe in Ghosts or any of that stuff.

I suppose it depends upon why they died; asbestos poisoning in an old house? Sounds like a keeper. Murdered due to the violent neighborhood? Ideal place to raise a family.

Died of old age? Psh, what madness is this, I'd never live there.

What kind of an answer are you expecting? No the house will be haunted? I like to think humanity, as a whole, has moved beyond that kind of crap.(Even though I know we're not quite there yet.)

So far 2 people died in this house, right in front of me.
Good times.
Not moving out anytime soon.

Well I may check to see if the house was the reason that the person died (like there was a leak of natural poisonous gas or something), but otherwise I wouldn't care. I don't really believe in ghosts so I would have no trouble living in a house where someone died.

if it was due to natural causes(such as a disease, or heart attack, or just old age) and not murder, ya i think so. Of course i would rather not know.

Depends. If the walls are smeared with blood and the sink is stuffed with brain matter, then it would be a problem. Otherwise, not so much. People die, and they have to die somewhere.

the student house i live in has a small template on the wall when you enter with R.I.P. *3 random names*
no-one these days know who the hell they were, but when asking the landlord he replied that one died in the living room from an overdose, one slipped, fell, hit his head and broke his neck on the bath tub in the bathroom and, most importantly, one guy died in my room, in his bed, literally where i got my bed now, living here for a year or 2 now and

i'm comfortable with it./meh?
