My apologies, how can any modern RPG/action game/almost anything that isn't a puzzlegame?afroebob said:Ever played Tetris?Bob_Dobb said:How can a game have no story?
Awww Hell, now I want to go play Tetris!
If it did, I never noticed. I spent a little over 30 hours playing the game before getting bored of it, and if I'd stuck to the main "story", it would've been more like three. It was far less interesting than the random other crap I ran around doing that had no real coherent story to it. There was plenty of backstory available through the setting and the books (which I absolutely could not bring myself to read after having read the far more interesting (to me) ones in The Witcher) and talking to various people on various side quests, but not really a whole lot of active, meaningful, world-changing story progression, at least the way I played the game. Maybe there is a little if you actually bother to do the main plot, but it sure didn't bother to go through any effort to make me care about it. Captain Picard died and wants me to go do...I don't even remember what? I think I'll go stab people and steal stuff from the Mage's Guild to sell it back to them instead. Well don't count puzzle games out of the story contest, Portal 2 had a pretty nice story going on in their, definitely not Mass Effect but better than the CoD story arc of 'Here is some Nazis, shoot them' (or if its MW than replace Nazi with Russian).Bob_Dobb said:My apologies, how can any modern RPG/action game/almost anything that isn't a puzzlegame?afroebob said:Ever played Tetris?Bob_Dobb said:How can a game have no story?
