I'd probably loot the local EB and some stores, but i wouldn't hurt anyone or anything like that. Even then, its dependant on whether or not I'm actually willing to be bothered with Rioting or if i would just avoid it.

I don't know if helping the police is legal but during a riot i'll probably protect my own house from getting plunderd on. But if i didn't have a house i would like help the police, my dream has alway been to be a real life hero.

Agreed, ruining the town in support of some cause (that probably isn't about trashing honest businesses) is ridiculous. As for the helping the local Law Enforcement deal with it, its likely that would only cause more trouble. Police officers and Sheriffs Deputies i'm sure would rather handle the situation without the aid of people who are not trained in appropriate crowd control techniques.
