To answer the question: no. I won't even pay a monthly fee for any game (damn you The Old Republic in advance...). Call me cheap, but if I bought a game, I want to be able to play it forever, not keep on paying forever.
Servers cost money. Especially when there are thousands of people on each one with you taking up one of the spots with your account.
I am aware of that. Of course these servers couldn't be properly maintained if it were free of charge (or is it, Guild wars?). But I am not going to pay 15 euro's each month to be able to play my game.

Guys, this was in 1991.

This was before 56k modems.

This was when using the internet was expensive.

$6 an hour makes sense for the technology that existed back then.
