Would you play a horrible game if you were paid to do it?

I laugh at bad games when I play them. They can be fun in their own, special way. So, yeah, I'd take $10 an hour to play through a terrible game.

First of all, I'd just like to say that the OP is damn funny guy! Second, hell yeah I'd play them! Money is money, after all.

EDIT: Incidentally, my idea of a bad game is a boring one. At least poorly made games are good for laughs.

I've already been used as a game tester for my Computer Science class, so yea. My favorite pass-times when testing is finding the most absurd ways to break the games (normally, you just locate bugs through normal means, but once you go deeper, you realize how fun it is to make the universe tear asunder). My friend made an RPG (class project, ok game, nothing spectacular), and I broke the game an caused every single enemy to die the instant a battle started. Luckily it was such an extreme glitch, that no one who was playing normally would be able to invoke it (he made it harder to trip the glitch, but it's still there, and he still doesn't know which lines of code cause it).

Strangely enough, all of the "Hopeless Boss Fights" still remain hopeless because the glitch turns around and run you over instead, it's weird.

So, short answer? Yes, I would definitely play a horrible game for money, basically because I love breaking said games (progamming, not the actual game).

Oh boy, what a question.

Yes. IF I were getting paid. I've gotten paid for far, far worse things, like working in an un-air conditioned paper recycling plant in the Illinois summer humidity. A game like, say, Alpha Protocol is bugged out the ass, but I could easily force-march myself through it and get very analytical about its flaws in pursuit of the almighty dollar. I could even do QA testing, which means playing the same part of a buggy, unfinished game over and over and over again, and enjoy just being part of the process.

Ya I'd play it. With my QA I could turn it into a half decent game anyway. And If it's an abomination that should never see the light of day, I will, without hesitation, punch the developers in the face and yell, "WTF is Wrong with you?"... As I humbly accept their paycheck :D

Depends on what your description of a bad game is
What's YOUR description of a bad game?
A bad game to me would be something that I regret owning or wasting time playing.
The recent game like that for me was World At War. I got that game for free and I regret owning it. I couldn't get rid of that game any sooner

And you couldn't pay me to finish it

I work at a school, cleaning halls and toilets. It'd be a nice change to be paid to play games, might find something new.

I play terrible games without getting paid. Hell, I normally pay for them out of my own pocket.

So hell yeah I'd play terrible games for money.

yeah definately as around 10-20 dollars an hour is about £6.26-£12.53 which is more than minimum wage which is what i would get paid to work in a supermarket.

really its no contest as every bad game has fun parts and working somewhere for minimum wage is all bad parts.
