Would you play a horrible game if you were paid to do it?

Game testers play till they find a glich in the game [and there will be gliches, not the fun ones] and then they write heavily detailed descriptions of the bug so that a developer drone can fix it. Rinse and repeat.

I wouldn't do that with a GOOD game. It's not like the game is ready and you just play, it's an effin mess. It's like working, but you are working in the game.

Edit: However, if this weren't a game tester position, but rather some dream job assigned to you by the all-mighty god himself [because he loves you soooo much] to just play a finished product over and over again, for a good wage I'd do it. I wouldn't hesitate if it were a good game.

Major, important question:

Is the game finished?

If so then yes. If not then a very hesitant yes with at least a couple further questions.

Does it pay? Does it require no physical labor? Is it a relatively easy job? If yes, sign me up. I need the money.

Heck yeah I'd play a horrible game for money.
I worked at Burger King, Wal-Mart, and in retail for money, so why wouldn't I play a crappy game?
I gotcha beat there. McDonald's and K-Mart are far more heartless.

OT: I would play for money, though it depends on what kind of "horrible" you are talking about.

Is it horrible because it will cause me great fear or trauma? Never.

Does it just suck? Sure. We've all been there before.

this.

i was and still am a janitor for 8 years at a bakery factory where 99% of there employees are (excuse me here im not trying to be mean) poverty for sure, and cleaning up after them..well..its something that is not fun at all. and only getting 8 bucks an hour im pretty sure i'd trade up for a video game job than the "shit" i do (pun slightly intended) for sure.

Since my genius ideas would generally cause grievous harm to my avatar rather then my physical body, I would gladly do it.

Hell yeah I'd get a job there, because in most cases, they'd be asking for bug tests or my general opinion on the game itself, in which I'd be able to help make that sucky game a little less on the suck!

I've played 'em for free. So yeah.
haha, bingo.

I'm unemployed after working 6 months in a crappy retail environment and, between trips to different places of business looking for work, pretty much all I do is play games. It's basically a full-time job that I'm not getting paid for.

Depends on how crappy.

If you mean Desert Bus crappy, then maybe. But if you mean "horribly offensive and disgusting" crappy, then probably not. (i.e. Would play E.T. for the Atari, but not a game featuring scat.)

Would I have to finish them before I'm given another one?
Because if someone made me face something like the Wily's Castle stages on Mega Man 2 again, I think I'd pay them to save me the frustration.
