Okay, so i tried out the trial for World of Warcraft, and i liked it considerably. I bought my 60-day subscription in town today, and i am going to play tommorow. But one thing astounds me.

Does the game get funner, or is it quest after quest? Please explain your reasonings.

Thanks :)

It's quest after quest until you hit the level cap. At that point, you get some gear and head into raids, where it becomes significantly better, if you're willing/able to put the time in.

It gets more fun. At higher levels, the quests just get better. For example, in Outland the quests are far better than in the Vanilla zones. The game gets far far more fun. You start to access raiding content, better dungeons etc.

It is just quest after quest, but it gets more fun from the variety of spells and such you get, then the fun of getting new, better weapons and armor, along with the fun of partying up with some other people and joining a guild and such. It just depends on if you like games that are very repetitive, because this one is, but I still consider it to be a lot of fun.

Oh, the questing is the funnest part of World of Warcraft.

Leveling is my favorite part.

Then there is the raiding, and questing to get better gear/mounts and such.

But really, the time spent between 68 and 80 are the best.

Personally I preferred the endgame a lot more than levelling. Doing the big raids, the big BGs etc, was a lot more fun than standard grindquesting. Some of the low level instances are also very cool though.

That said I haven't played WoW seriously since before TBC came out. I show up once in a while, but a lot of the things I liked have been changed.

Sure, I enjoyed it while I was playing.

One thing to keep in mind when you're making a new character is that you're essentially playing completely outdated content in terms of gameplay design and quests. As you progress the quests become considerably more entertaining and diverse, with new gameplay mechanics and more complex interactions between NPC. Blizzard has gotten much better at making this stuff over the years since WOW came out, that's why they intend to redo the entire thing in the next expansion called Cataclysm.

That said the Human starting areas are great if you're into the story since unlike the other zones, there's a cohesive story behind all the human starting area's that reaches a climax with your first instance boss. Duskwood in particular has a great vibe to it.

Plus as you level up you gain more and more new abilities, opening up more possibilities to tweak your character to your liking and less boring 'press this button to kill badguy' gameplay.

A thousand times yes.

I almost quit World of Warcraft because I HATED how slow the level 50's bracket was... I wanted to punt a gnome off Mount Hyjal... but I trudged through it, and was greeted by Outlands and Northrend, got a ton of gold and good loot and most importantly, had fun playing..

Cataclysm is going to completley change Azeroth, so questing in Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms will become much more interesting...

Once your able to do more and more instances (raids later on) it becomes more fun.

Quest after quest is how the game runs, but there are also the instances ( dungeouns) and a vast world to explore. There is also the reputation grinds with dailies, item turn ins and slaughtering a specific type of enemy. I've been playing WoW since it was released abnd still greatly enjoy it.

Both major factions have interesting stories and characters, all the races have a solid history and 90% of the areas are beautiful in their own ways. Not everyone can get into it, but I still enjoy the heck out ot after all these years and am very excited for the next expansion just to see what new lore is created.

Does the game get funner
Well after playing the game (quit 9~months ago) for about 2 years I found that the game by itself wasn't the fun part. The fun came from playing with friends and talking to other people in your guild while levelling. Getting to level 80 feels quite good for a short while but it's really not that great with the terrible balance issues between the classes and certain requirements that have to be met before you're going to be allowed to go to certain instances.

Well Northland/rend/place (can't remember the name) is the best part of the game, as at the end of each zone there is a climactic quest involving dragons or robots or giant monsters. So yes, it does get better.
If you're going to play alliance, just know that westfall will be the worst experience of your life.

I actually like that part that u need to have a min. of gear before entering those harder instances (hc & fos & hor) cause otherwise you would just whipe whipe and whipe.

The game sucks if you're playing without friends and guildless but when u find a good guild and nice people its great imo.

What I suggest you do is you play it with friends, or make some friends online. They make it many times more fun. Either convince your real friends to make accounts, or join a social/levelling guild in-game. If you join guilds at random like this, though, don't be disappointed if the first one or two you try are crap.
