And yet the game is still shit... hum.
Fuck you, troll-****. *
You fuck off asshole, it's a repetitive grindfest with shit graphics and no orginality, the soundtrack and the dances are the ONLY good part of it, end of, I wouldn't play it even if there was no subscription fee, the fact that there is makes it the biggest waste of money ever, I'd rather buy cheese insurance.
he has a point. I like cheese alot and may be stealing your cheese as we speak. I hope you have insurance and next time can you get some more brie? this cheddar is kinda funky

You could say the same when you pay someone to do anything that doesn't involve food or shelter.

HMmm..i seem to recall a story from about a year or 2 back where a woman actually prostituted herself out for the 5000 G required for an epic flyer..

Actually:

It is pretty insane.

That being said, i play WOW.. I have a wife and 2 kids.. I used to subscribe to the whole "I would never pay a monthly fee for a game", but when i finally went to buy it (bunch of old college buddies were hassling me to get into it) the guy at the store told me "it will actually save you money in the long run, because honestly once you start playing this is the ONLY thing you'll play"...He was right...

In the long run, this is actually SAVING me money, only paying 14 bucks a month.

I never thought of it that way. But, now that you mention it. I haven't bought a console game in over 7 months. And I've only paid for 3 months of wow.

But, for the players who want even more of an enjoyable game. You're probably going to buy Burning Crusade for (about) $19.99-$29.99 and Lich King which is still $40 over here. Plus the actual game of course ($20).

Man, I need to start playing WoW. There's money to be made here.
It's probably harder work than a real job, TBH. I don't understand how anyone can reach the level cap and maintain a sociable existence.
Lol, I have an 80 with pretty good gear, I occasionally raid and maybe put up to 5 hours into the game a week... And I have a girlfriend. And quite a few friends, only some of which play WoW. Oh, and I am not a virgin, to throw that one out there.

I hereby declare war on any instant WoW hater, Claiming that its just "Shit" or words to the effect of is stupid. Sometimes MMO's aint for you, and tahts grand, but you shouldent simply bash them cause you think you are too "Mature" or something to play WoW. Instantly hating WoW is up there with instantly hating a warhammer collector, its a mild form of idiocy.

Try not to be so judgemental.
Oh, and on that note, Parts of WoW's gameplay could use a revamp, but they are changing it as I type this. Simply put the gameplay (For the mostpart) Rocks.
Don't get me wrong, I love the game. I've tried a bunch of MMOs and the fact is that WoW is the best designed (gameplay and art), the most versatile, the most scaleable, and the most visually distinctive. It's just it'd take me my entire life to reach level 80.

And I don't have a girlfriend.

After hearing this I wait for the day WoW will affect the Global Economy.
Don't say such things, it may come true!. Now that's a true recession.

Good lord, this is probably one of the silliest things I've heard in a long time. However, people can pay for whatever they want, so it's not really that surprising to read about. I'll be honest, if someone paid me $50 an hour to play WoW I'd completely do it for that 20 hours a week. $48k in a year to play a game? Hell yeah!

I seriously wasn't expecting THAT.

$50 an hour!? That's obviously way more than the person makes at his job, so he's basically blowing his entire paycheck a week.

This is nothing new fyi, I was apart of the hardcore pvp scene before I quit, people have been paying good RL money for arena rating since The Burning Crusade, some top pvpers took up businesses devoted to this and made good money.

It's pathetic but some people are that bad and that desperate for arena ratings.

Not really, you have no idea who he is, he could be a extremely super-rich business man, or even a celebrity. Heck there's even a Saudi Arabian prince or something who sponsors professional wow players, he paid people from Nihilum(SK-Gaming) to raid, and he paid them pretty well.

It also assumes that the pay-to-grinder is working full time. $50/hr for 3 hours is a lot less than a paycheck for someone with a non-fast-food job.
