What a pathetic idiot.

I get little kids in China to grind my character for me.

I do play WoW (80 Shadow Priest, great game)and there are plenty of other examples of people who do things similar to this:

-people will buy gold for money on some websites
-people will spend up to 1000$ on WoW TCG cards for things as trivial as a Turtle Mount or some Tiger
-people will spend quite a bit of money so people will level there character for them

to name a few.

Oh how I hate level grinding in anything! But isn't it all part of the experience? Paying someone else is pretty weak. It's my understanding that the best xp is gained through group campaigns. Isn't that supposed to be the really fun part of the game?
well alot of times the people who buy accounts and things like that have multiple 80s and once you have leveled to max level you never want to do it again!
Uh, then wouldn't you just move on to another game if you were sick of the basics of this one?
No mmo has a fun leveling experience! The point of wow is to play endgame content and most people don't want to waste time leveling when they have already done it!

Not really, you have no idea who he is, he could be a extremely super-rich business man, or even a celebrity. Heck there's even a Saudi Arabian prince or something who sponsors professional wow players, he paid people from Nihilum(SK-Gaming) to raid, and he paid them pretty well.
Link, or it didn't happen o.0

And now, just because I like playing the devil's advocate:
Sad or not, at least people that pay for a WoW high-level/high-arena/whatever character, get something to gogle at. I play a certain TEXT-based MMORPG and I know many of the people that got to high levels quickly there have spent hundreds, if not thousands of $, because that's the only way a character 100 lvls higher than mine can get there in half the time.

Something about that doesn't fit, why would you need to have DK to farm honor when honor is non-transferable between characters? farming honor on the DK would only benefit the DK, not the priest that this guy wants.
as long as the DK is on the team, the team gets total arena rating.

but this is just stupid

no, seriously, back when I was a WoW-head my guild had several arena teams with 2000 rating, and they were casual. meaning less than 20 hours per week tops.

what the hell, $50 an hour is still better than what im making at my job, whish I still had my boomkin...........back when we were still over powered...........
IMO a decently geared boomkin is in the top 3 of the best casters in the game still.

On topic: this is just idiocy, the day I pay someone to play a game for me is the day I commit myself to an asylum.

Well, 2000 arena rating is rather much... and 20 hours a week is... rather much too... It's worth it.

I have never in my life been remotely interested in WoW (although I can understand why some people would play it)

But My God

I would start playing for that amount of money!

That is a prime example of going overboard with Warcraft. I expect Fox News to turn this into a major battle in the media's war against electronic entertainment within the week.

Man, I need to start playing WoW. There's money to be made here.
It's probably harder work than a real job, TBH. I don't understand how anyone can reach the level cap and maintain a sociable existence.
Speaking as someone who eagerly waited for the beta and has played it ever since, you are dead on. I have had one of the same characters (undead, holy priest) since the game first went into 1.0 and I can tell you that I am only NOW getting to level 72. I still have other characters from back then that are only 45 or 50.

Personally, I just buy a game card once and a while and only play until the time is up. Luckily, I work for Target so I get a small discount on those as well :)

I thought it was completely illegal to pay someone else to level/play for you.
Far as I know it leads to permaban :p

Stories like these sometimes make me wish that I would become a more sociable gamer, and actually play games with other people. :p

In any case, earning money to play a game sounds great to me. After all, it's their money, let them do what they like with it. XD

Why was this guy banned? I see an injustice here, I noticed this guy was banned from a comment on the Dead Space Yatzee thread and I wanted to see what he said out of curiosity. Surely somebody not liking WOW isn't worth a perma ban?
