It would probably be easier to explain Darkspore as Diablo McDOTA with the Spore Creature Creator stuck in there.Digitaldreamer7 said:I've been spending my money on steam games. Looks like Darkspore might be a game that can hold me over until the release of the old republic. It's not an MMO persay but it has online pvp and coop. It's decent fun.
Ill have to agree with you about the direction the devs are taking. instead of working on a "looking for guild" tool they should have been working on a "looking for raid" tool.
You guys are probably going to be disappointed when you find out it's more or less the same thing with one or two added features.sizzle949 said:Kinda getting bored of WoW so Imma try something different too. Some of my buds are trying out Rift so I'll probably be trying that out too.
Except for new lands, races, mobs, spells, classes, talent systems, etc...Zaik said:You guys are probably going to be disappointed when you find out it's more or less the same thing with one or two added features.
New races why yes. Rift has normal elves, dark elves, and then yellow, brown and blue humans. Really pushing the envelope there.sizzle949 said:Except for new lands, races, mobs, spells, classes, talent systems, etc...
Taxman1 said:EVE online. I started and its better than good. Its really complex though and a timesinker so be prepared.
urprobablyright said:If you fancy yourself complex then you should give EvE a whirl. It is becoming not just the most impressive MMO but one of the most impressive games in general.
No. No, no, no. Unless you've got friends who are already there and are going to help you get started, starting Eve as a new player is a recipe for boosting your bloody pressure.Billska said:If your a patient person that wants fun in the long run, then play EVE Online. It's not for everyone and might seem like a chore but if you can get past that it really is a fun and immersive game.
I quite enjoyed WHO, but the PvP was terribly unbalanced. Sure, the instanced battlegrounds were adequate, but that's not really Warhammer PvP. It's not really any different from a WoW Arena, except on a 10v10 scale or whatever. The REAL PvP is in the open non-instanced areas, but it was so poorly designed and implemented that all you did was spam AoE and/or spend 3-5 minutes running back from the closest spawn point.Worgen said:well warhammer online was really good, its pvp is fantastic but Im not sure how its player numbers are and its pretty based on those for the pvp

Do you know if they've fixed up the starting areas yet? I found it to be massively unfriendly to new players (in terms of gameplay, not people), but that was a good couple of years ago.barbzilla said:I love AO, but nobody else seems to enjoy it out of my group of friends. I tend to play AO on my free time, and when I have friends over we play rift.
IDRK I haven't played it in like 3-4 years. If they changed the starting area again that would probably be a pain in the ass. I never felt that the starting area when I played as unfriendly. I could always just leave the starting area at anytime and go to the original starting area anyway. I am downloading it now on my laptop and going to start up a new ftp account so i can start playing again.Lawyer105 said:Krion_Vark said:I would say you should check out Anarchy Online. Personally, I'm currently playing Guild Wars, and I'm waiting to see how Guild Wars 2, The Old Republic and Dark Millenium turn out.

Indie post-apoc MMO. FPS style combat, so skill actually matters in PVP it's not just about the numbers; a very in-depth crafting system and the most amazingly expansive and immersive world I have ever encountered in an MMO.
Plus, there's a free 30 day trial.
If you like Fallout, STALKER or Metro 2033 you really ought to try Fallen Earth.
I played for years as well and probably only got to about a level 64. It's kind of hard to justify all that playing time and still be such a low level.Zetion said:There should be a Runescape addiction support group.googleit6 said:Runescape.
Hahahahano. I was kidding, though that game stole many hours of my life and many 5$ installemnts each month from my parents.
I've never really played any other MMO's, so I can't really say much about it, unfortunately.
"Hello, my name is Joe, and im a Lvl 90 range pure"
"Hi Joe"
BUt in all seriousness, that was my vice for a good 4 years. IT wasn`t until they updated the game to hell and back that I just lost interest.
