I didn't watch the whole thing but it looks sort of fake to me. First of all, the cops tasered him for no reason.
He was resisting arrest. In that situation the safest way to subdue him would be to use the taser. Using a taser is generally a much safer option for detaining beligerent people. It has a much, much lower risk of injuring someone than physically throwing him around.

They were lenient in the fact that they didn't actually deploy the taser. They lit up the electrical arc and used it like a normal stungun. If they'd actually fired the taser into him he probably wouldn't have been able to get away though.
He already seemed pretty subdued...I mean, his arms were pinned and everything, or atleast he wasn't flailing them around. Besides, clearly the taser only made things worse.

The most convincing evidence is that the cops didn't even chase the guy. The guy runs off, so they turn around and casually walk back towards the camera? What cop just says, "Ah, he's gone" and walks away? That can't be correct procedure.

He was on the ground, but he wasn't subdued. The cops were trying to get him to roll onto his stomach and place his hands behind his back so that they could cuff him properly. He had one arm free the entire team and he refused to place both arms behind his back. The officers had two options...they could either try to physically force him into the proper position, or they could employ the taser. I think the taser was the practical decision.

As for why they didn't give chase...well, it wasn't as if they just let him go and threw their arms up in defeat! They began to give chase, but...I think they were just a tad surprised. I'd never expect a guy I was tasing would manage to rip himself away...and I'd definitely never expect anyone like that to be able to run so fast. His wife was there anyway, right? They may have figured that there was nowhere for him to go anyway...and he didn't exactly seem like the type who'd be an immediately physical threat to the public.

This is all, of course, considering that the situation is real...which I really, REALLY hope is true. You simply cannot write comedy this good. Reno 911 would be proud! <3

1) I think he kept saying he changed his name because they were calling him by the name on his ID (his real name).
2) As far as him being arrested without them telling him the charges, I'm guessing the charge was the warrant, therefore he was notified of the charge. On the other hand, there was a moment in the video when he asked what the charge was and the cop said something along the lines of "...it doesn't matter.". So yea, it might be illegal.
3) His wife was indeed holding the camera, probably to document the "illegal arrest" and bring it to court.
4) It's ALWAYS impressive when someone manages to run, yet alone MOVE while being tasered. Your body literally shuts down when you get hit by one of those things... Or so I've heard.
5) He was screaming "Yahwey" (or however the hell you spell it) which means "God" in Hebrew. I'm guessing he's Jewish. So he's not really a WoW nerd, I guess he's a Bible nerd? (no offense to anyone)
6) LOL!!!
7) He made things worse for himself by running away (resisting & evading).

SO! In conclusion, that was probably the funniest thing I've seen all year. Yep.

I think most cops would have already had the dude cuffed and in the squad car, they really don't care about anything you have to say. I thought the whole thing was hilarious how the man kept going on and on.

When they tazed him and he took off running was the funniest thing I had seen that day. I'm glad his wife was able to capture it for us to enjoy.

AwwNuka is ban-jumping.

Don't side-track threads with discussions about moderation decisions.

He does say it, although it's part of the gibberish song he's making up, so I don't know if he's actually claiming to be a Jew or if it was just the first word he could think of that rhymes with "you".

I'm no expert on Judaism, but I was always told it's a serious breach of Jewish religious law to pronounce the name of God, so I doubt a real Jew would be screaming "YAHWEH!" in the middle of the street.
