I can't really argue against LARPing since I dress up like Itachi Uchiha from Naruto.

Well, I don't play any of the card games and I never liked Dungeons and Dragons. I have the three main books for version 3.0 but I just never found it to be fun. It wasn't that it was complicated, it was that sitting around with a bunch of friends imagining an adventure was stupid. Sitting around laughing at someone falling off a platform on Super Smash Brothers Brawl is a lot more entertaining.

Cosplay and tabletop gaming are awesome!

LARPing... No idea what that is...

The line for me goes with bedsheets from games/gamecompanies/anime (or other forms of house decoration like that really...), things with stuff like "valve" or "blizzard" written on them and finally roleplaying. Roleplayers creep me out >>. I can dress up as anime characters no problem, I think thats fun, but roleplaying one? Or a Dwarf? Geez >>

I'm a huge nerd, but I would never dress up or do LARPing. I don't play DnD or table-top war gaming because I just don't find them very fun.

I think anyone who has a 'body pillow' is a little too nerdy. I mean seriously, do you really need something like that? Especially for that high of a price?

LARPing? Is that uh... dressing up as characters?

I'd play D&D if I ever got the chance, but, uh... I don't like the thought of costumes.

For someone with an avatar that appears to be donning a cape?
I find the last one a bit hard to believe.

Tabletop gaming is but a weekend hobby for most, only the obsessives make it weird.
Got to get me some of those awesome looking demon books...

In my experience, lots of normal, non-nerdy people play Magic: The Gathering.

Besides, life's too short to worry about what other people think. Other people tend to be douches anyways.

LARPing, tabletop gaming, cosplay, Magic: The Gathering, and any Star Trek that isn't the reboot (And even then the reboot is only mediocre).

Pokemon for anyone in high school. You'd be surprised how many people I see huddled in a corner with their DS's out. That and yugioh, and magic the gathering (any trading card games) for any one in high school.

- Anime. (Could probably be convinced to change my mind on this one.)
- That service where to you pay to play online with a chick. (Seriously? Ugh.)
- LARPing, now that you mention it.

I used to be convinced LARPing was out of the question, but now, I don't mind nearly as much. Basically, if it crosses the line from nerdy into creepy, that's where I'd stop. Admittedly, that line is very flexible.

Everyone seems to be on the same page as me. LARPing, DnD, card games that aren't poker or involve drinking, Pokemon, KINGDOM HEARTS [Oh I went there], uhhh. Idk.

I would, however, cosplay. Mostly just to make a badass costume and look shessy in it.

Personally the big three are Magic the Gathering, LARPing (if I actually tried it I would probably love it though) and fushibi,
My friends and I play Magic all the time. Honestly it isn't that nerdy, it is basically a smarter and more addictive version of any strategy game.

But I have always enjoyed TCG's

You should try it sometime.

OT: LARPing, no way...too nerdy for even me...the magic playing, pokemon loving, star wars fanatic that I am.

Forum RP, I know there are some RPers on this forum (hell we have a whole section for it) but it just makes no sense to me, its complete anarchy trying to set rules seems useless and don't get me started in combat I don't want to think of the ridiculously complex systems people come up with. Where it really gets me is Nationstates (I'm heavily resisting the urge to start typing in all caps here) where people actually write an upwards of 70-page article, including "photographs" of the capital city, GDP, ethnicity, and all sorts of other minute details of their fictional freaking nation I may have some nerdy habits but thats just pathetic.

I'm guessing LARP means Live Action Role Playing?

OT: Cosplaying and LARP'ing if that is what I think it means.

That's actually more pathetic then anything, but still.
It's called Gamecrush, and yes, I agree with you there.

*topic*I wouldn't wanna be caught dead (or alive) cosplaying or LARPing. I'm already weak and fat enough as it is; I don't want people kicking my ass for dressing up as something other than a dude in real life.

You mean like contact juggling? How is that nerdy? It's like magic tricks. LARPing and Pokemon for me here I do play AD&D and Magic though.
