Cause kids aren't pets - and teaching her at that young an age that it's OK to completely disrespect people is not going to help her in the long run.Altorin said:I thought it was hilarious.
I'm the same way, but honestly, if her parents don't care about her language, why should you care? especially if she's not talking to you? If you encounter a person like that, you're well in your right to call them out, but my policy is, if it doesn't affect me, it's not worth getting upset about.
If her parents think thats a fun thing to teach her to do, what else are they teaching her? I have serious doubts that other then that 30 second clip they are raising her responsibly.
How other people raise their kids DOES affect you because these kids are the ones you or your kids are going to be interacting with down the road. These kids are going to be part of the community which you belong to and thus impact it in some way shape or form.
For instance: if every parent raised their kids right there would be significantly less crime. Yes, there are those among us who are just bad or mentally ill and no amount of good parenting can stop their actions (the same as how bad parents don't always raise criminals). However the vast majority of kids are heavily influenced by how their parents act and how they are raised.
Your view is a very narrow minded one.. hell, the kid drowning in the river over there doesnt have any impact on MY life, think I'll just keep on walking.
On a more specific example for why this annoys me - there are ALREADY so many idiots talking trash in online games that I mute everyone by default - how sad is it that such things are needed? The first game I played that had in built VOIP was counter strike - it was increadible! We all talked and exchanged friendly banter and it was great fun. A lot of those people I still play online with today in various games.. however I have just flat out given up with finding new people to chat with these days, I just add friends of friends and so fourth and everyone else remains muted because on games like CoD or Halo there are so many idiots screaming at one another I can't be bothered.
So yeah - seeing parents TEACHING their kids to act like this is not something I want to see start to happen.
This was somewhat of a rant I know but I am just one of those people that treats others with respect until they do something to warrant otherwise and I detest people who won't offer others the same.
