Wrong. Just Wrong. XBL has reached an all new low for me.

I thought it was hilarious.

I'm the same way, but honestly, if her parents don't care about her language, why should you care? especially if she's not talking to you? If you encounter a person like that, you're well in your right to call them out, but my policy is, if it doesn't affect me, it's not worth getting upset about.
Cause kids aren't pets - and teaching her at that young an age that it's OK to completely disrespect people is not going to help her in the long run.

If her parents think thats a fun thing to teach her to do, what else are they teaching her? I have serious doubts that other then that 30 second clip they are raising her responsibly.

How other people raise their kids DOES affect you because these kids are the ones you or your kids are going to be interacting with down the road. These kids are going to be part of the community which you belong to and thus impact it in some way shape or form.

For instance: if every parent raised their kids right there would be significantly less crime. Yes, there are those among us who are just bad or mentally ill and no amount of good parenting can stop their actions (the same as how bad parents don't always raise criminals). However the vast majority of kids are heavily influenced by how their parents act and how they are raised.

Your view is a very narrow minded one.. hell, the kid drowning in the river over there doesnt have any impact on MY life, think I'll just keep on walking.

On a more specific example for why this annoys me - there are ALREADY so many idiots talking trash in online games that I mute everyone by default - how sad is it that such things are needed? The first game I played that had in built VOIP was counter strike - it was increadible! We all talked and exchanged friendly banter and it was great fun. A lot of those people I still play online with today in various games.. however I have just flat out given up with finding new people to chat with these days, I just add friends of friends and so fourth and everyone else remains muted because on games like CoD or Halo there are so many idiots screaming at one another I can't be bothered.

So yeah - seeing parents TEACHING their kids to act like this is not something I want to see start to happen.

This was somewhat of a rant I know but I am just one of those people that treats others with respect until they do something to warrant otherwise and I detest people who won't offer others the same.

That dog was fucking adorable. On topic, I've seen that video of the little cuntchild before. Honestly, it's quite funny to watch, but it's also interesting to see how fucked up someone can raise a kid, which admittedly makes me lol too. Judging from this video and this video alone, she'll contribute nothing to the world, have no effect on me and die, to which I say "good riddance". In the mean time, I will lol, and lol I shall.

Sorry to burst your bubble OP, but that was on the PS3.

Yeah, the PS3, the console that claims to be for the more mature crowd. You know why people think that those who use the PS3 are more mature? Because the damn thing doesn't come with a mic, so you almost never hear anyone talking. When they have a mic though, they're just as bad as the kids on xbox live.
I like this post.

The existence of Ray William Johnston in this thread alone is making me question my time here.

But wow, how pathetic must the guy be if his KID SISTER has to trash-talk for him? Seriously, what kind of fucking pathetic excuse of a man can't trash talk? Even Mormons know how to trash talk.....I think.

There is a mute button you know, funny how people never think of that.
Sometimes you can't mute them quick enough.

I wish you could set it to default mute all players. I mean when have you EVER heard them say something helpful or constructive? Frankly the risk of getting verbal-shitters makes whole in-game-chat quite pointless, probably more relevant would be to chat with specific elements of your team.

Keep it simple, base it around "radio frequencies" and it's clear in the menu what channel everyone is in (listening to and broadcasting to). So if you're fed up with the bullshit on one channel, tune to a different "frequency" and chat through the map. Otherwise chat is entirely distance based, you have to be close to talk... but the enemy players can hear you if close enough.

Not that there are many popular 360 games with really in-depth online that really require verbalisation of teamwork...

He has a black controller in his hand and there appears to be a Playstation 3 on the TV stand... but that headset is unmistakably for the Xbox 360 which is in no way compatible with the PS3. Which makes me suspect there is fakery going on here. Plus, although it's a low resolution video I can't see how the clearly wired headset in plugged in (the cable is very short), it could be as simple as the kid is encouraged to pretend to talk trash into an unplugged microphone.

Not that a more mature crowd... it just has what I call an "idiot barrier".

See, you can't just plug in a bundled headset. You have to look for and buy a relevant blue-tooth headset (like for phones), get it charged, and every time you want to use it get it to link with your PS3. Idiots fail at that. Idiots tend to spout abusive shit into their mics.

There are plenty of idiots on PSN, they just are silent.

She's awesome... There's nothing wrong with kids cursing as a joke, that's an antiquated viewpoint. Think about when you were that young and how much you cursed for laughs.
Kids swear, everyone knows that. But that doesn't mean you should encourage it!

It's called basic manners and social grace. I know its an outdated concept in this MTV world, but that doesn't mean parents and family shouldn't at least try to develop some sense of politeness in children rather than just letting them slip into the ADD ridden foul-mouthed hodgepodge that is the majority of todays youth.

"Her parents should be shot"... seriously? Honestly, yeah, parents should teach their children how to express themselves properly. They should teach them when to use which word, and when not to say something. That's part of the service parents should provide for their children.

This means teaching them how to differentiate - I was raised to be aware of the different levels of language. The way I talk to my friends or parents was always different from the way I talked to persons of authority, i.e. teachers and such. Now, then again, I never liked cursing in the first place due to me relationship with my parents being really good (my dad was the one who taught me how to beat Super Mario World on SNES, just an example) and me therefore somewhat opposing the way some American parents treat their children (addressing your own parents with "Sir" and "Ma'am" is quite anachronistic in my book)... by I digress.

As I said - Nothing wrong with children swearing because you can never tell what the greater context is. Believe it or not, some children do know the difference.

Why don't we all just take a nice big breath and take a moment to remind ourselves that a couple minutes of video featuring a seven year old swearing at random people online created for amusement purposes does not give us enough information to dictate anything about the girl's personality or future or to decide if her family consists of a bunch of social leeches without morals.

Ok. The setup is simple as always. A guy boots up his 360 to play some COD 4 but instead of playing fair (boy, this has to be the most bent-over concept nowadays) he decides to, I am not kidding, put his sister, that is 7 years old to talk trash online to make up for his lousy aim or something and distract the other players. He actually encourages her at one point. Why was this guy even born? Christ...

It was featured in Ray William Johnson's videos. And even he said this is not something a sensible family would accept.

Discuss.
Why are you limiting this to XBL? This is the way a surprisingly large amount of the multiplayer community behave (though not this situation exactly) terribly.

Honestly it's a struggle for me to play multiplayer games these days. Some new lows have been reached. In Black Ops i'm seeing dick emblems (why anyone would waste their time figuring that out to begin with is beyond me...), nazi flags, other offensive garbage. On Halo I'm being assaulted with racist slurs and swears for making even the smallest of mistakes.

It's just, sadly, the way multiplayer seems to be. Is it any wonder my favourite games are all RPG's?

i thought this thread was going to be about MS points, or DLC bullshit, or XBL price going up, but seriously you state XBL has reached a new low....

this kids parents need to monitor their childrenbetter , or hit them more often (just kidding hitting kids is bad, unless they call you ****** boy, then its ok...oh wait)

XBL has a mute button for a reason

hell most of the people i play with will tolerate a childs voice on XBL for about 15 seconds unless the kid is actually playing the game and contributing other wise its MUTE.

I personally find it hilarious so i dont mute them all the time (i draw a line at actually flooding the mic with annoyance non stop and screaming/screeching), in fact one of the best gaming sessions ive had recently came from playing BFBC2 with a foulmouthed little kiwi (no racism, just strings of curses i was surprised that an 8 year old knew) that everyone else had muted and didnt understand why i was cracking up over teamchat.

only thing XBL needs to make better is a way to record all the voice chat from a gaming session so you can submit it more easily if actual abuse is occurring

games just need to make muting easier, it'd be nice if you could just bring up the players list in most games and just hit a button to mute/unmute instead of jumping through hoops for 15-30 seconds to mute them.

I've never hit a child, but I wanted to punch that little girl in the head. Then punch the guy for getting her to do it.
I didn't think that was funny and I've got a weird sense of humour, but like the guy said.
"You'll see her face in a few years... on Maury."
