okay, I think most of us already know Fallout 3 has the tendency to be glitchy, or just outright bizarre, so what moments did you find to be the most 'WTF'?

one time, I was at level 5, and I took out the Raiders in the Springvale School, and on the way to the Super Duper Mart, I encountered an Enclave Soldier, and I haven't even gone looking for Dad yet.

I managed to beat the Enclave Soldier, but he made me use more than half of my stimpaks and I lost alot of ammo to him.

Had the same encounter arriving outside Dukov's place, killed that soldier by shooting at an exploding car close to him.

I once encountered a Deathclaw in Megaton. I was like level 3 and this thing was inside attacking the citizen. I started shooting with my pistol, I barely did any damage, and he starts chasing me. Scared the shit out of me and killed me with one strike too. To this day I dont understand how it was possible

I attacked a Super Mutant Behemoth through VATS, through 2 grenades at him. First grenade makes him take off, the second sends him flying skywards, and he dies at impact with the ground. He didn't even have time to swing after me...

I shot a bear with the hunting rifle in the middle of nowhere using VATS, and he fucking flew into the sky Team Rocket style, I watched some of it in VATS in slow motion, and then when it went into real time I saw him fly through the sky.

It was fucking hilarious.

That was on Oblivion, but the same kinda thing happened on Fallout, except it was a bear, and it was flying.

Having a Deathclaw lunge at you and then suddenly float away into nothingness.

Some fo these encounters could be linked to Fallout 3's 'Random encounter system'.

Anyway, personally the biggest WTF for me would have been getting caught between two road blocks, the second would be getting caught on the operating table which i was born on.

The reasone this sucks is becuase i was playing on the 360, so there's no easy 'NoClip' escapes.

I can take a charge of superheated plasma to the face without flinching, but these lumpy hillbillies with shovels are eating my lunch? Granted, that's more Fake Difficulty than glitch, but it did elicit rather a few Whiskey Foxtrot Tangoes from me.

It's been a while since I've seen a good GEDDAN! Havok is fun.

I was once just travelling the wastelands having a look around. I get attacked by a Raider. Turn around and there are loads of Raiders just spawning in.

I was dondering about the wasteland (as you do) and I turned around to make sure there wasn't some giant beastie behind me.

From behind a hill, I see the corpse of a Giant Radscorpian float up from behind a hill and it just kept flying up into the sky. I had nothing to do with the things death, I was on the wrong side of the hill. Weird Stuff.
But at least that meant one less Giant Radscorpian in the world, I hate those things *shudder*

Before the Mothership Zeta DLC was out, I dragged the dead alien all the way to Megaton, and to this day he is still chillin' next to the hobo who needs water (I even put him in sitting position, so it looks awesome) Made my friend say WTF.

Missed a headshot on on a super mutant and got a critical hit on mysterious stranger. I looked trough the entire place after his corpse.
I never found it... *sad face*

When I was doing the shoot em in the head mission, a few enclave soldiers followed me into Dukov's place, so Fawkes and Dogmeat went crazy and killed everone. Then I looked down and saw a dead mirelurk. I thought "WTF is a crab... thing doing at a whorehouse?"

Also, while attacking the Adams air force base a corpse (or something black) just started to wig out in the air.

Oh yes one more, this one isn't really WTF but it just made my mouth drop. In Anchorage, my friend has killed the same turret in V.A.T.S. with a 1% chance. Twice.

Seeing a Deathclaw run towards you, get stuck in the world graphics, then catapulted into the air and out of sight.

I put a live grenade in dad's pocket during the birthday part (♥ console). Not sure if it was a glitch or something, but every time he got back up (damn unkillable characters) he exploded again.

It was funny as hell to watch him run around and slaughter everyone.

Doesn't work anymore though, so I assume it was patched; did it on the original release.

Somehow, on one of my playthroughs, when I exited and came back into the RobCo facility, every single robot in there was stuck halfway into the ground. They were all wriggling around like mad bumping against the floor. The sound was absolutely atrocious. It sounded a bit like being inside an oil barrel filled with tuna cans and then being rolled down a mountain. That Havok software can really mess things up sometimes.

I've also seen that thing where things go flying into the air, always good for a laugh.
