-The graphics aren't good
Stopped reading. If we start by saying that then anything else is a waste of effort to read.
Move along guys, it's just another random rant.

Another generic game with over simplified SP content and samey MP content....
/cut/paste/snark
The fact that it has modern guns makes its MP "samey"??? How does that even make sense. Crysis is very different from Call of Duty because of the suit.
The weapons are the same as most other modern shooters, even with the suit powers augmenting things you still have everything entrenched in samey rules and game types. Whats worse is that unless its COD,Gears,Halo,Battlefield (the brand names in MP gameing) and Res(not res 2 so much, res 3 may build up the body count tho) MP players dissapaer after a few months due to the samey blahs that newer games are unable to get away from and people kinda go back to the core MP games that have larger community.

Even though I was highly disappointed with this game, I don't think it was that bad. However, I was on the PC... As for the graphics, you using a limited version of the CryEngine 3 on a DX9 System. Of course its going to look like crap. Just look at Crysis 1 PC compared to Crysis 2 PC ( which is currently only DX9 ).
PC is using Direct X 11 in crisis 2. Gonna blow your mind.

and to the OP:
Dude Tell me of games that look better than the cryses (that is a fail plural right there). I can only think of arma 2 on very high with draw distance at mahusive and most PC's melt when you do that to them.

Also it feels like a clone of every shooter out there, it's just very mediocre.
I remember the last time I played MW, I was sliding around, jumping on top of buildings, stealthing, and causing shockwaves with my fist. Crysis 2 is literally Call of Duty.

Oh wait, no it isn't. Did you even play the game before you made this post? Sure it has kill streaks and guns but that's where the similarities end. Crysis has always had better graphics, and slightly better gameplay and story than COD.
Since when does sliding and jumping ever count to gameplay?
The only thing it has is stealth, which with nanovision is pretty much nullified. The shockwave fist mechanic is fairly useless and will more than likely leave you vulnerable, if it does end up working you could probably have just shot them for the same effect anyway.

It has pretty much the exact same killstreaks. The guns do not feel satisfying and the hit detection is flawed. You can't instantly tell enemies from friends, just as you can't tell different classes of enemies before they start opening fire.

I like the parkour bit, but honestly if that's the only thing it's got going for it it can go back to where it came from.

You lost me at bad graphics. You are not a gamer if you care THAT much about graphics, because I played the Crysis demo, and if THATS bad graphics, then you need to rethink your standards.
Yeah, I don't know what game is he comparing this to? I mean, I'm really interested now to play this game he's compared this to but it sounds like it's amazing. Most of the stuff he said seemed mostly like lag or console problems rather than problems with the game itself. For example, I found a match in less than five minutes and I could shoot just fine without spraying everywhere. My biggest issue was that the gameplay was too much just like MW2 with 20 foot jumps and super-strength, so I wouldn't buy it. As I said though if he could tell me the game he's comparing this to I'd Love to play it.
On the PS3? Really, go on N4G and read the comments on the Crysis 2 for PS3 demo. LOTS of people were waiting for a longass time like me.

By spraying I meant moments where players would start running at high speed while you shoot at them (or you yourself try running while someone shoots at you) forcing the guy shooting try to track your movements while shooting, with you running around so fast the guy has to spray his gun everywhere just to hit you. Then sometimes they get one lucky bullet come and hit you in the face.

lol I play KZ3 and Resistance 2. I have Black Ops but I rarely open the case. I also wanted to try something new in Crysis 2 but was hugely disappointed with the gameplay.

Also please answer, were you playing on the PS3? Even after a few hours (so more people could get the demo) it still took a long ass time to find a game.
If you think that is fast you should play Crysis 1/warhead =) First time I joined a multiplayer game I thought everyone was using speedhack since you run about 3 times faster then you do in Crysis 2

They have shown 4 killstreaks and you are already saying that ALL killstreaks are the same??

Oh, sorry. I forgot you made the rules to be a "Real gamer".

Sorry, was that loud enough? I'm not sure if you can hear me up there.
To be a gamer, you have to like the game. Would you consider someone a football fan if they only cared about how nice the uniforms were, or someone a book fan if they cared only about what font they used?

Ah, cool. So you turn all your games down to minimum settings, yeah? So they play as smooth as possible.

Good for you.
Ok, since you don't care to talk properly, I am now ignoring you after this point.

MW2 bad? How on any scale were the graphics in that game bad? You sir, require a visit to the optometrist.
You know when you play a game that looks awesome like God of War 3, the first Crysis, Uncharted 2, KZ3 etc.. and you take the time to look around at the scenery and take in how beautiful everything is?

Yeah, I did that with Crysis 2 and did not get the "this is beautiful" feeling.

[/quote]

You're playing it on a console, the game was made by a company who's basically known for making games look absolutely beautiful given that they aren't restricted by hardware, they did their best. Now if you played the PC version, you would've been stunned.

Just got a few games in and hit level 5. I must say, the game looks great (PS3).I love the addition of the nano-suit, it actually makes it feel fresh to me.

Not being too limited by heights is a real plus. Want to get up to that ledge but don't want to take the long walk to the stairs? Super jump and climb up there. Plus it's always awesome to take out 3 enemies at once with a boot from the sky.

They way you earn killstreaks is also pretty nice. Definitely puts more of an emphasis on the action part of the game.

Now, you know what absolutely kills the enjoyment for me?

The matchmaking system. Sitting there for 5 minutes while the thing searches for games is aggravating.

The host selection is borked as well. Seriously, every match I played in, almost every single person had a yellow bar connection. I almost NEVER hit below a 3 connection in ANY game. From unloading shell after shell into an unsuspecting enemy to being killed when I'm far behind cover. It is just INFURIATING and it really fucks up an otherwise fun multiplayer.

Hopefully they fix the matchmaking and host picking issues, otherwise it is indeed going to be a rental for me.

The fact that they boasted about the PS3 version being CLOSE to the PC version and then playing the demo and seeing...THAT pissed me off. Especially after I found out that the 360 looks better also. So basically Crytek lied to us PS3 owners. -___-
