I am intrigued, but still damn hesitant. The last ones spoiled the X-Men ( I'm looking at you X-Men: Origins Wolverine) for me, so fingers crossed this one will turn out to be good.

Ahhhhh, when i heard thy were making a magneto prequel I thought it was going to be a superhero holocaust story. Oh, well recent X-men movies have made it so I won't look forward to this but maybe I'll be surprised.

Still looks like shit, in my opinion. Though, Magneto's actor at least acts like Magneto. McAvoy's been colored by watching Wanted, so him being Xavier really throws me off the character.

..That said, the soundtrack was the best part of that trailer.

Hmm, I see Emma Frost, Beast, someone teleporting in red swirls so maybe Nightcrawler though he didn't look blue, someone throwing red energy from their hands that could be Havok or Sunfire, Mystique, some girl with fairy wings I think I recognise but couldn't name, some black guy who could be Bishop...

I love all 4 of the other X-Men films, even 3 despite the OMG ITS NIGHT TIME IT WAS DAY A FEW SECONDS AGO NOW THE MOVIE SUCKS. It's an enjoyable series. Looking forward to it. :D Shame we don't have Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellon though, following up from them two isn't an easy feat.

Also *obligatory joke about Charles being able to curve bullets*

Hmmm, Without Our dearest Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen (Who pull off the Old friends/new enemies setting well as they ARE friends outside of movies) I may be worried.

But then I see that James Macavoy is in it.......Damn. My hopes are up now.

Fairly sure the red guy is Azazel, nightcrawler's father

It looks interesting. I don't know if I'll be seeing it in theaters though. It can't be any worse than the last one.

That would make sense

Why isn't PS playing PX??? When the mutants first revealed themselves, PX was still PS looking, he was old, is what I'm saying.

I'm glad they're going for solid actors over beefy hacks and whiney children. Overall I'm sure it'll be an adequate film, but probably not the greatest edition to the over-arcing series.

Let's make everyone YOUNG! And then re-write their youth from what they did when they were old.

That's worked SO well before...

By the way, Magneto would have been older than I am at that point. He was born in the 1920s.

As much as i love X-men and i do as much as the next fan but why is the series like many other films spiraling into the thought of constantly making prequals when they could have done so from the beginning?.

For once i'd like to see an actual continue of the story onwards instead of going backwards because to me it doesn't even begin to satisfy me knowing that its an obvious film route thats been going around for years where the film industry makes about 2-3 films then suddenly goes back to before the very first film and its getting annoying and old.

How about the age of Apocalypse arc for once? or even the Sentinals ruling the future with Mastermold?.
