This trailer didn't really impress me. I'll see it when it comes out, and hopefully it will prove me wrong in how bad it looks.

Let's make everyone YOUNG! And then re-write their youth from what they did when they were old.

That's worked SO well before...

By the way, Magneto would have been older than I am at that point. He was born in the 1920s.
And this is why i hate prequals they never begin to make sense and the new actors look nothing like the previous counterparts.

So you're admitting that you never really gave the film a chance to begin with

I think it blew through every chance it ever had when it threw away the entire history of the characters apart from their names and powers.

Then it added in new history.

Then it cranked in history from our world that never happened in theirs.

Then it added ridiculous "constipation" faces to anyone using their powers.

Then it linked it into characters who weren't around either.

Then it ran through Trope after Trope.

And then I said "Fuck it, life's too short". Want me to give a film a chance? Make sure it doesn't suck before I even see the trailer.

Don't know what I think of it. It looks like it could be good, but at the same time I don't find myself excited about it. Hopefully it will turn out to be a good movie though.

Heres an idea. Lets...not make another X-Men film? Granted X-Men and X-Men II were pretty cool but isn't anyone getting tired of them yet? I mean, we've already had the lackluster X-3, Wolverine: Origins and now this? Aren't they going to do a Magneto: Origins as well? Ughh. Even if X-3 was good, thats still no excuse.

That being said. No I'm not looking forward to this and I hate to admit it, but if I was a normal person living in that world, in that kind of cultural climate, seeing a guy left a goddamn submarine then I would join the Friends of Humanity.

Oh, and Beast shouldn't look that much like a cat yet...not by a longshot.

This actually got me interested in the movie.

All other posters or information up till now has otherwise made this look terrible. Good trailer.

This films looks to be terrible, it's almost only x-men in name only. Still I wasn't going to go see it anyway as I want the rights to inevitably return to Marvel/Disney.

It's a weaksauce excuse but he has been de-aged a few times in comics I think. Also most mutants live for an inexplicably longer time.

Fox has to turn one out every few years or Marvel/Disney gets the rights back. Same with Sony and Spiderman (and I believe the Fantastic Four). Which is supremely disappointing as it means no interactions between mutants in the Avengers movies. No Wolverine or Spiderman becoming New Avengers.

I maintain the opinion that Wolverine is the only really interesting X-Man.
This is why we can't have nice movies.
Hey, no one's shown me otherwise - and people into the comics have even told me the same thing.

Xavier and Magneto are fairly, but none of the others do it for me at all .

Right, so, the plot they used for X-Men 3, the whole Phoenix thing, was improved by ham-fistedly forcing Wolverine in as a central character to it?

...actually I won't bother. If you've seen all four X-Men movies and you still think Wolverine is the best character, and that focusing on him to the exception of all else is a good move, more power to you.

I said he's the most interesting, I didn't say his portrayal was the best.

Love how you're approaching this as something objective though.
