what's the problem? if MAG wants a more mature audience, they can go to psn because the idiots that are there won't be spamming the chat as much as they do on XBL...

the reason people think this is because if you want to talk on PSN you have to have a mic, and not many people will pay for a mic only to insult people. the 360 ocmes with one, meaning every tom, dick and harry with a 360 has a mic. if both came with/out a mic then it'd be simmaler.

what do you think?
I said this on another thread: I've been playing Halo 3 online recently. I had one night, when I was playing a special game mode they had put up for the weekend, when I had to deal with annoying people over chat. Most of the time, people barely even speak during the matches.

I've come up with two possible theories:

A) The people who keep complaining about live are doing something to bring it onto themselves. Given their propensity to insult people, as evident by their posts, I wouldn't have a hard time seeing how.

B) People are complaining based off of other people complaining, not actual experience. This is also pretty rampant behavior.

As you can see from my diagram, The price increases the space from the source of kids. Because of this PSN and XBL "Cover" steam, Only allowing a small portion of kids to find it.

And since the wii is so cheap, its stood out there. Succeptible#

being juvenile has nothing to do with amounts of mics available, That simply makes it slightly harder to notice.

If all the kids on XBL had their mics took off them, they'd still be idiots
Errm. I don't know what to think of this other than EPIC.

But in my experience, you get idiots on both. Just on XBL it's easier for them to communicate. Also Halo was the first game I ever got t-bagged in, so maybe that marks my opinion of XBL down a few notches, but again, that is my personal experience.

Steam is less juvenile in my opinion, Because its on the PC.
I have played one game of Counter Strike: Source online.

I haven't touched it since. It was one of the most obscene events of my life.

Similar things happened on Goldeneye: Source, Half Life 2 DM and Fortress Forever.

While I would say there are younger people on XBL, I wouldn't say they were much less juvenile than some of the people on Steam.

A LOT of people are juvenile idiots and many use either Xbox Live or PSN. That makes neither services juvenile.

Nearly all the people in my school are PS3 and MW2 fanboys and I haven't found THAT many little shits on XBL so I already knew that :)

I see no point in this thread. This would only go further the proof of us (xbox live users) being more juvenile by claiming we are not. It's best just to ignore said remarks and enjoy your console that you own.

Wow that sucks. As much as it sucks that you don't get your dlc, how could you have forgotten your account password so easily? Don't you have a second account to recover the password to? What about the skill testing question to get your password back if you don't? No? Well if you don't use any of the provided failsafes, how are you supposed to get it back?

Now I know I just pissed you off right there and frankly I'm not proud of it, but honestly if that happened and your random chain of events put you in that place, don't you think that not skipping that part of the e-mail signup would have been useful? Its kind of your fault at this point; and the part about calling microsft:
I would have laughed at you too, but out of pity for such a curse of mishaps.

OT: I have a 360 and I think its more childish than PSN. Every little kid thinks its cool to play violent gory games and there is a slightly more abundance of that on the 360. Every kid thinks hes King Shit of Turd Island because he got Gears 2, AND HE CAN'T EVEN PLAY THE FUCKING THING FOR SHIT.
Frustrated at the game, he decides to ***** at his parents to set up an XBL account.
They do thinking that all it is is another way for him to play his little video game and to leave them alone.
Hey, a mic. I'm going to yell and scream at anyone I want because they don't know who I am, and can't do anything about it.

At least on PSN if you have to buy it the oaqrents don't think its a priority and tell the kid to go fuck himself. So the kid plays terribly and can't do anything about the players calling him shit(becauee he is)

Well then it is more juvenile?
Exactly.

The OP even said that more mics are present on Xbox Live. Ergo, there are more chances for idiocy and juvenile activity to come across.

From my experiences (Note: I said MY experiences,) I would agree that Xbox is filled with more jackasses than PSN. But, then again, I encounter more children on Xbox Live as well.
[sub]Which isn't to say there are no jackasses on PSN, they just usually have deeper voices.[/sub]
