360 why because its the best f*ck the ps3
XBox 360 if you want that kind of mentality (note bad grammer & lack of reasoning).
If you want a long lasting console, with a list of quality exclusives that aren't simply timed exclusives, then get a PS3. It is technically the much better console anyway.
i say good sir i am a 360 owner and while there are many annoying dip shits its like Cartoon network the good stuff only comes on after 11 lol

It's hard to say really, the PS3 has superior hardware but many games run better on the 360 due to optimization issues. A few weeks ago I'd recommend the 360, but right now the PS3 exclusives list looks more tempting. So yeah, that probably makes it a better choice if you can't have both, plus you can jump right in and start renting BD movies, of which most movie rental shops are stocked up now.

If you own a decent computer, get a PS3 as all of the good games on the XBox 360 are either done better on the computer, or are available on the PS3. Athough be warned that the large failure rate of the 360 is also something to be wary about. I won't pay for a console that seems to be designed to fail...

Unless you REALLY want a blu ray player, 360. Most good games are for both but the 360 has IMO a few better exclusives, better online, and exclusive DLC

*snip*
Cons:
- More expensive than most variants of the 360
*snip*
-The PS3 uses more electrical power than the 360
-The HDMI cable is sold seperatly

Just so that the 360 gets an honest chance...
(took a lot to beat down the PS3-fanboy in me so that I would say this for the sake of equality)

Personally I am going to tell you why I chose the PS3

EXCLUSIVES
Now I chose it because I have played Ratchet and Clank, Sly, and others for years and I love the titles. New additions like inFamous don't dissapoint either. However, some people like the 360's titles and you could be one of them.

I also chose the PS3 because it is way more reliable.
A third reason was that the internet was free.
Now some of these reasons won't be the same for you but that is my 2 cents.

Research some exclusives from each console and make your decision. I'd say wait after E3 and see who has better things to offer.
Xbox 360 has Mass Effect 2. =D

They have very similar libraries with the 360 having better exclusives for someone who's into online shooters and the PS3 has better exclusive games for someone who prefers single-player games (like me). Otherwise the 360 has a better controller and a better set-up for socializing and the sort.

I'm a PS3 fan so what the hell, I'll play devil's advocate. The Xbox 360 is: cheaper, has a stronger online multiplayer, and lacks tacked on motion controls. I'd say more but I haven't played the system since launch.
