Hello there fellow gamers.
I'm going to be buying an Xbox 360 soon and i can't decide what RPG i wanna buy.
My 3 choices are Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Fallout 3, and Sacred 2.
What do you people think i should buy?

I've never heard of Sacred 2 until now, however, Oblivion is pretty damn awesome. People say it's not as good as Morrowind, but I haven't played that so I can't comment. As for Fallout 3, I bought it the other day but haven't got round to installing it yet, I got F3 on PC but Oblivion on Xbox 360. Basically, it's up to you, but in Fallout 3 I've heard nothing but good things (apart from the ending...). However, apart from financial restrictions, is there any reason why you can't get more than one of those?

That's what i was thinking as well.
It's not only rated the highest by Gamespot.com, but it also seems to be more of a traditional RPG than fallout and it also seems better than Sacred 2.

I can vouch for Fallout 3 and Oblivion (the latter only played on the PC though). I've never played Sacred 2 but I don't think there's any danger in going wrong with the other two...

I've played Fallout 3 and Oblivion and I have to say those were very good. Go for either of those first.

You know i keep forgetting that not all of these games are $60 and some of them are older and cheaper by now. Maybe i'll buy both fallout 3 and oblivion. Thank you all for assisting me with this problem.

Well I preferred Fallout to Oblivion but Sacred will last you alot longer than either one. Fallout has the best graphics. Sacred is an open world Diablo. The story is lacking though. You can't go wrong with any of them really. I can't definitely say which one is the best. They are all good for different reasons.

I guess buying them all is out of the question.

Both Fallout 3 and Oblivion are excelent, but you'll probably get more gameplay out of Oblivion. There's more unique items, and the world is more expansive. Plus the ad-ons for Oblivion were better than the ad-ons for Fallout 3. However, the combat is better for Fallout 3, so it's a balancing act, you'll have to prioritize and figure out what sounds better. As for Sacred 2, I've never even heard of it, so it could either be one of those gems of gaming that for some reason no one's ever heard of, or it could be one of those games that's so horendously awful that it ended up in the bargain bin after a couple of minutes, and has since been forgotten to the oceans of mediocrity.

Fallout 3 or Oblivion.

No RPG has sucked me in more than that. I have about 900+ hours logged on Oblivion and 600+ on Fallout 3.

My vote lies with Oblivion, but I'm a huge fan of TES, so perhaps I'm baissed. FO3 was great by its own merits, being a dirtier Oblivion with guns in it, and Sacred wasn't bad either.
Its going to come down to what YOU want from an RPG. Its going to boil down to personal preference for subgenre (post apocalyptical, medeival, etc), and remember Sacred is currently getting smacked around for all of the bugs that are in it and the company's indifference to releasing various hotfixes to resolve the issues.

Bethesda makes beautiful games that'll suck you in, so if you pick Oblivion or Fallout 3, make sure you have a stocked minifridge near the TV.

I'd have to go oblivion. For sheer size and depth, the amount of quests are huge and the ability to enchant your own weapons and make your own spells (eventually)is a great addition. + its the first game i played for more then 100 hours. It also has the vocal talents of Sean Bean and Patrick stewart (006 and captin picard in one place)

Oblivion, I preferred it over Fallout 3 put more time into it, more to do. In my opinion, more bang for your buck.

I'd go with Fallout 3 over Oblivion, since it doesn't have scaling enemies (which defeats the whole point of levelling up).

Oblivion plain and simple, it's a great RPG. Also if you care for JRPGs pick up Tales of Vesperia it's awesome as well, just saying
