Get Fable: The Lost chapters (You can get this for about $10, and it's hours of fun), Assassin's Creed 2, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Dragon Age: Origins, Prototype, Red Dead: Redemption, and Batman Arkham Asylum.

That's off the top of my head, but if you can only get one, get Dragon Age, Fallout 3, or Mass Effect.

Seeing as you have a PC, you want the kind of game that excells on a console, maybe something like Final Fantasy or Lost Odyssey? I'm currently playing and loving Transformers: WFC, so I would recomend that too, especially if you are a Transformers fan. Super StreetFighter IV is apparently very good too, if you are into beat-em ups. Outside of that I'm out of idea's, I tend to play more PC games that console, mainy down to WoW and C.S 1.6.

The mass effect series, fallout, either of the l4ds though 2 seems to have a larger community, splinter cell is pretty fun with a friend, dead space was awesome, assassins creed. I really enjoyed alan wake, but it only took me 3 days for 2 play throughs so IMO that'd be a better rental...

Castle Crashers is just plain awesomesauce.

Alan Wake.

And I base this solely from recommendations by others, as I have yet to play it. But apparently it's awesome.
Awesome but very, deeply flawed too. And it has pretty much zero replay value.
So playing through the game in Nightmore mode to get the extra pages is a waste of time?

That is all down to the individual, but for me the story was the focal point and once you know the twists and turns, the rest of the game doesn't hold up so well on second run.

Assuming you don't have these for PC.

Fallout 3
The Orange Box
Gears of War
Bioshock (stay away from Bioshock 2)
Left 4 Dead
Either of the UFC games

Some of these depend on if you are planning on getting Xbox Live as well.

Lost Odyssey, Eternal Sonata, Final Fantasy XIII, Star Ocean...erm... Infinite Undiscovery, Blue Dragon... hmm... Tales Of Vesperia, Resonance Of Fate...anymore...ohh, Nier, Enchanted Arms...

OT: Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock 1 then Bioshock 2, Halo ODST as it's the best Halo in turns of atmosphere and music, plus the Halo 3 multiplayer disc is a great thing and Viva Pinata.

Dead Rising.

That's all you need.
Fallout 3 and or Oblivion.
If you like guns, fallout 3.
If you like swords, Oblivion.
If you like both, both.

Dead Space is fun.
(Super) Street Fighter IV
Halo 3
The Orange Box
BioShock 1
