On your gaming profile do you care about achievements. I Know i do its not a huge part of gaming but i find it adds more of a drive to completing games and adds more gameplay aswell. My friends and I enjoy competing for gamer score as it adds a competitive edge to playing xbox aswell.

Yeah I enjoy getting achievements and it does drive me to play the game more to get them. I especially enjoy getting all the ones in a game.

Bioshock was my first. It felt great.

Achievements aren't the sole reason for playing a game, but they add extra incentive to play it more and its nice when you do something cool and that little window pops up.

Zero punctuation does not work for titles (Xbox Achievements. Do you care?)
anyway more on topic they're not really for the game, unless they unlock something worth it, they're more for to show other how much a gamer you are.

I'm not an Xbox Live member, but most of Valve's recent PC games have achievements. I generally don't care that much about them unless it unlocks something in the game (such as Team Fortress 2's weapon unlocks). Even then however, I won't bother with it if it's some nigh-impossible feat that requires an insane degree of skill.

The first time a beat a game, I don't really care, but it does add some braggable replay value...

I care some. I would like to unlock at least 500 of the standard 1000 points worth of achievments for a given game, to show that i have devoted time ot the game and have skill.

Problem comes when i meet people care as much as me or more, but who are less honorable. Most recently i found that Left 4 Dead is giving me a huge problem with this. People were getting Crowned by moving up where the witch cant see them or killing off their teammates to get Man VS Tank or getting friends to stand still and die for Lamb 2 Slaughter.

I care a bit about getting my own achievments. I care a lot if someone has an achievment i dont when his only skill is looking at CheatCC.

Same. I still laugh at this one time in Half Life 2 on the Orange Box, I just picked up a random toilet because I thought it would be funny to kill someone with it, then got an achievement for it.

They don't mean that much to me. It's just fun to beat a friend who has more games than I do in gamer score. In Halo 3 I went for all of the achievements because of the katana. If only more games gave unlocks for achievements.

I try to get as many as I can playing though the game. But I dont really go out of my way or play a game again to get them all. I only do it to unlock stuff.. but the xbox ones dont do anything .. so yeah

Based on accumulating some arbitrary score value? No. They're worthless in that regard because there's no standard for what something's worth. The hardest achievement I have ever seen is worth thirty points, for example.

As a means of motivating me to try new things in my gameplay? Sure, they're great for that, or for the extra little challenges. They help add replay value to games.

What you mean
What do you mean "what do you mean?" I'm saying a little punctuation wouldn't kill you. The "." and "?"
