Xbox elite broke... what should i get?

Hey i broke my elite, i still have everythig that came with it including the hardrive wich works, but i cannot play my games... should i get an another elite, pro, or an arcade to replace it? will an arcade work for online and everything else?

and incase it matters, i play cod 6, ocasionally 5, sometimes gears 2, and halo 3, mainly cod 6 though

Is it still under warranty?
If so, contact MS and get them to pick it up for free and see if they can repair it.
But if not, Arcade all the way. Hard drive will still work on it as will the controllers.

If you still got the warranty get it fixed for free.

Otherwise get an arcade, you already have all the stuff to make it an Elite, or Fleabay yourself another elite.

Wow 10 posts before a fanboy chimes in. You guys are slackin.

I had the core and it broke so I just got an arcade and put in my old HDD works fine except for a minor license transfer issue which left me waiting a year before I could play any DLC offline.

The issue was I picked up a refurbed unit from GS and trasfered everything. Then the next time I fired it up it RROD'ed on me. You can only do a transfer once a year and they kept telling me they couldn't read the reciept I faxed in.

OT: Get an elite if you must, but I would recommend a PC if you want to really game.

Indeed, get a good gaming pc. Self build if youre handy at it, if not buy a prebuilt one. If not, get an elite......simply coz its black, that was the only factor i considered when i got my girlfriend to buy me one. Just make sure its a jasper model, there not as prone to overheating. Ask them in store if it is, they should be able to tell ya.

As in: Punched a hole in it? Then you should invest in anger management classes.

if the warrenty is still valid they have to prove that it isent a manifactureing error
so do they have a picture of it without a hole through it?
