I was about to ask this guy the same question, but you beat me to it (nice analogy btw) but I'm afraid this guy is probably not going to understand what you said, usually people who say something as stupid as he just did don't understand logical reasoning...bojac6 said:I don't see the connection. You didn't care about playing online, so you got the one that allows you to play online for free? I just don't see the logical progression there.JaymesFogarty said:That's why I bought a PS3. If you don't play online, I don't see the point in Xbox live. I don't, (as I prefer games with real stories and interesting characters) and I opted to get the PS3 because of that. But why are they hiking it? PSN is free, and that's been updating itself for a while now.
It's like saying "I couldn't decide between milk and orange juice. I didn't want to mix any of this with my coffee, as I like my coffee black, so I opted to get milk."
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Playstation Plus. It is no different that the Publishers Club here on the escapist. PSN Plus users get a few perks and if you get a years worth you even get a free game out of it, but the BASIC service still remains free.cartographer54 said:Hurray for Playstation Network! No, I was only booing, cuz i heard the lbp2 beta was going to be playstation plus exclusive, and the fact that I like free stuff.ShadowKatt said:There is absolutely nothing wrong with Playstation Plus. The Playstation Network is still the model of customer satisfaction when it comes to online [console] gaming.
For me, the big attraction of the Xbox 360 was the Live, as it was something that everyone who had an Xbox lauded over. When I focussed on single-player experiences, the PS3 had an advantage in its library, which is why I went for it. I will admit that the wording was terrible. I'll try to explain it better.bojac6 said:I don't see the connection. You didn't care about playing online, so you got the one that allows you to play online for free? Ok i first want to make this clear i have a ps3 and since im kinda a cheap scate i use my ps3 for multiplayer. Now XBL in general is a better service its faster and smoother then the PSN. It also has better matchmakeing systems.IamSofaKingRaw said:I agree I hear all this XBL is better "Moar content " and all that bull but other than he old Xbox games and few exclusive arcade games everything is available on the PSN. PSn also hs great ps1 titles, PSN arcade games like Joe Danger to offer.Ironic Pirate said:I kind of like the aesthetic more, but other then the Mii rip-offs I'm not aware of any features the PS3 lacks.DarthLurtz said:Yes it is. What he is saying doesn't make sense to me.Korten12 said:In a posting, Microsoft spokesperson Larry "Major Nelson" Hyrb explained the hike:

Until PSN adds all the chat/party features that are standard on Live, I can never respect it as a competitor in online networks. I'm a very social gamer you see, and if I can't have my friends in the same room, then I want at least 5 of 'em talking to me regardless of what we're each playing.ecoho said:Ok i first want to make this clear i have a ps3 and since im kinda a cheap scate i use my ps3 for multiplayer. Take all of the people that use live monthly and that is how much more money they are going to make every week.Stealthygamer said:Meh 1$ isn't a difference
