There's a difference between what Microsoft did and what Sony did though.

Microsoft apparently ran their games using PC hardware and software. Windows 7 and an NVIDIA graphics card. Not on Windows 8 and an AMD graphics card like the XBone is reportedly supposed to use. There was no XBone anything in the Microsoft demos, just PC.

Sony, one the other hand, ran their demos on actual PS4 dev kits. Which, if I have it correct, are basically PS4 hardware and software inside a PC shell. Not PC hardware and Software.

That's what I've gathered so far anyway...
