Yahtzee needs to take a break from Zero Punctuation.

A lot of his recent Zero Punctuation videos feel like they are just lacking in quality to me. Its like watching a really bad comic trying to do stand up but halfway through he realizes that he isn't funny at all so he decides to just insult everything and act like a prick. Perhaps he just needs to take a week or two off.

What do you think of the recent Zero Punctuation videos in comparison to the older ones?

ZP just goes in little streaks, I found the episodes in and around the Dead to Rights to Alpha Protocol or so were great, but lacking a but since ... give it a week or two and another set of winners will come around like they always do.

Seeing as it's a totally free service that you are in no way funding, yes, yes it is.

The fact is, when a series has been around for so long, people are bound to start thinking that it must have gone downhill in value, regardless of whether or not it has. Personally, I think the series is still very funny and I usually get a chuckle in every week.

Yeah, it seems so... i think i've narrowed it down to lack of traditional British wit. Older ZPs were witty, with copious amounts of wordplay, visual puns, ridiculous metaphors, and so on. Now it's just dicks and dead baby jokes... not too exciting. So yes, i agree that he needs to take a break... not a week or two, but a month or two if he wants to be funny again. Too bad it won't happen. So i've just stopped watching them and probably won't return.

EDIT: I like the way entire "you can't criticize it because it's free" crowd thinks: flaming the OP as if he's automatically wrong.

And he is being paid to review games is a highly sarcastic, arrogant and overly negative way while providing genuine insight to flaws in the game. He is not being paid to specifically entertain you or cater to your whims. Why would he take a break and lose a paycheck, free games and/or whatever other perks he receives from this website? If you have grown to dislike his more recent reviews, there is the wonderful option known to humankind as "freedom of choice". It works like this: You can choose to not watch his videos.

There, done. Come back in a month and maybe you will find them amusing again, or do not and find something else to humor yourself with. Hooray for that choice thing again, yes?

He's as funny as the material he has at the time, imo. You can only talk shit about certain games for so long, or point out so many flaws of said game. I believe his material is based on how bad/hyped up the game is at the time.

It is, because there are countless comedians, gamers or otherwise, that you can turn to. Wanting him to stop because your specific desires aren't met is...well, selfish.
