i just watch his videos because I think there funny, and don't put much stock in what he says. But if he has a game the in the video he clearly likes or says is good I'll give it a chance. So far shadow of the colossus and Painkiller are kick ass.

Same, but you need to remember that he's a professional games reviewer, he won't just make stuff up about something.

I agree with everything he says about left 4 dead and dead rising, but he does nit pick, but he is a critic...so what should i expect

From the games I've played that he's reviewed, I think he can be right. I thought he was completely right about Saint's Row 2 (I did grow tired of the mini-games quickly). There were bits of the Fallout 3 review that I didn't quite agree with.

Still, when I watch ZP, it's more about entertainment than an unbiased critical deconstruction of a game...

While I find his criticism usually right, he does seem to take it too far at times.

As Gilbert Godfried once said, "We're comedians. We're supposed to take it too far."

I don't have time or money to waste on crappy games. I really appreciate his comments regarding how he doesn't do well with some kinds of games (i.e. fighting games) since it puts everything he has to say in perspective. His biting sarcastic reviews have saved me both time and money and that's about the best a reviewer can do for an audience. Plus, he's probably a comedian first and reviewer second so it doesn't hurt that he's usually funny as hell.

I'd have to agree with Blackout all on points he made here. I'm starting to use him as a higher regard for my purchases now, since his review of Saints Row 2 was spot on.

I disaprove of how he bashes Halo 3 without giving any credible reason, the story seemed basic to him as he did not play the backstory, the gameplay was average only because he didn't realise that the first Halo revolutionised the formula, and because he only played one part of it he has no right to complain about how the game had 'so little'

That said I find the man to be very funny and I respect him.

Halo 3 blows.

Thank you for again aserting my belief that the people who hate Halo are the obnoxious people who randomly tell people who liked Halo that it sucks when their opinion is really unneeded but they continue to speak anyway for the sake of upsetting people and for the sake of bascially being assholes. An act I find to be on the same level of whoring.

(P.S to differentiate myself from being a fanboy I would like to point out that if you don't like Halo 3 I respect that, the road goes both ways. If I look down on you obnoxiously HATING Halo then I cannot obnoxiously force you to like Halo. I understand that. But having seen some of your prior posts I am going to assume you are in fact a PS3 fanboy and therefore this statement was less based on personal opinion and more on the desire to defend your system and the games therein by bashing everyone else)

I don't hate Halo. I just got bored of it.

Also, I do own a 360 and all of the Halo games (except Halo Wars). I just got a PS3 not to long ago and am enjoying it more. My avatar thing is even a gamerpic on Live.

I respect your respecting me not liking Halo.

It's a hit/miss thing. If Yahtzee hates a genre or made up an opinion before the game is released, his review will reflect that.
And I think he is sometimes distracted when playing a game, because some sections he thought were hard or where he didn't know what to do next were rather obvious to me.
