My first hate message was when I first started doing knife only again on MW2 not to long ago..After going 53 and 15 on Dom on Favela, knife only,I was sent a message saying that I should go burn in a forest fire for only using my knife..

I was touched.

I refuse to lower myself by playing with 13 year old, hate screeching kids who don't know how to shoot anywhere but the head.

Never had one, gave up on wii network gaming a long time ago. I have had some PC warcraft 3 flaming but those are so many and so 13-year-olds that I don't bother.

I used to get them back when I was trying to speed level Modern Warfare 2 (because I'm to much of a goodie two shoes to just hack it or boost it like everyone else) so basically me speed leveling is playing Hardcore Search and actually trying. So I'm rushing with my shinyful MP5K doing pretty damn well, and I get a message from the guy who I seem to keep killing first at the start of every round. He proceeds calls me a fricking rushing gay noob and to go back to WAW. I have no idea why he told me to go back to WAW since I never really liked WAW so I didn't get the reference...

So anyway as my life is all about pleasing other people I decided now that we're on defense I might as well camp so he doesn't get all mad at my noobyness. So we're on Quarry so I grab out my sniper run up the side ramp and in quick succession spawn snipe 3 people as they're sniping down the middle and not looking at me. As a message pops up no my screen about 30 seconds later I sadly realize that he was the second person I sniped, he promptly calls me a sniping camping ****** and to sell my Xbox because I'm terrible. I just can't win with these people!

I don't think I'd ever survive on Xbox live without my mute button.

I got one on CSS along time ago. I was trapped in a corridor on cs_office I killed between 4 and 6 in quick succession but I reloaded after each kill in the same bit of cover, after exposing my self to run down the corridor and move on, which I never managed to do.

The first guy I killed started calling me a camper, and a few other things. When I explained the logic of reloading in cover and me not being able to move to another place, he didn't type back, it was quite satisfying to shut him up, but also nice to see that he saw the logic in the end even if it was obvious.(I can see why he would say I was camping but to keep running down the corridor whilst reloading would have been suicide).

I've literally had the total of about 4 hate messages from PSN users, all those in response to me stating in a prior message that "I know how to play this level, I don't need your character yelling at me to step in line like some demented drill sarge"

They stopped when I claimed their current messages and any further comments would be forwarded to Sony. Good times, I never heard from them or haven't from anybody else lately. I just leave other games where players act like idiots and constantly use offensive language as a means of communication

A RDR hate message: Stop fucking lagging n00b. (exactly like that)

Funny thing is, his was the one lagging, no one else was so it's basically his fault for any lag.

I love them, they're hilarious. I get them fairly often playing CoD5/MW2 on the PS3, because much to my suprise I appear to be quite a good at them now (that's what months of bugger all do to you). I love the ones that you get after a massive killstreak, when you can just bask in your own awesomeness in your smug-ass reply and be a complete dick. You know they deserve it.

My first? I can't even remember my most recent. I usually just ignore them especally since I know it's either a hate message, a 10th prestige message, or a clan match invite.

I got quite a few nice messages on Xbox Live actually. I only ever got one bad message from Halo, which was basically a guy on the other team who was calling me a 'fag' for exterminating his entire team in around 10 seconds(my proudest moment in Halo 3) after which he promptly left the game. I just laughed it off, I was still in shock and awe from managing to achieve an 'extermination'. That message helped make my day =)

Bad Company 2. A guy was bitching at me for killing him with the M60, so I started only using the knife. Killed him like four times with it.

The best one was when I found him facing a wall, not moving. I waited a few seconds, wondering what he was doing. Bored, I stabbed him in the neck. A half-second later, I got more hate-mail from him.

I got one when I finally picke up a copy of MW2 and started the online after completing the miserable excuse for a single player constituent, and because I hadn't unlocked any decent weapons yet, I was using one of the default setups. After I killed someone more than twenty times my level (No seriously, I was level 3, he was level sixty-something) more than once and feeling rather chuffed, I got a message in my inbox saying something along the lines of "scout sniper noob" and for some unintelligible reason, a friend request.

Many of you may be surprised when you hear that despite this divine masterpiece of an eloquent and likely laboured over for seconds, four syllable memorandum worthy of the highest praise imaginable for such a short work of prose, I declined.

I have once sent a message of hate over PSN KillZone2, not because I was angry at a play style but because a clan with headsets annoyed the fuck out of me.

The Set Up: I have a new account hence forth I are newb and hurr derp helping, 4 members of a Veteran clan (that goes by the name of F!CK) join a noob lobby and proceed to kick our asses, naturally since they have all the best gear, whenever they killed one of us they whooped and holla'd over their mics and where generally idiots (niggers didn't see that coming so on and so forth)

The Sting Operation I send one member (VyDean) a message saying "could you stop shouting obnoxious messages down your mic"

The Rebuttalhe messages me back saying "you could mute me instead ****** if you don't like what you hear", to which I reply, "Your right I could mute you, but you could also shut the fuck up because its just as easy for you to not open your mouth as it is for me to hit the square button, seriously, shut the fuck up, also no one is impressed with you and your mates boosting scores on a noob lobby"

The Outcomethe whole clan swiftly shut their mics off.

Given I don't actually own a console, I have no such stories to share. I do however have a (brief) tale of a jackass from an alliance battle in Guild Wars, who PMed me when the match was over to accuse me of cheating and throwing abilities at him and other nonsensical claims, right before telling me he'd get me banned by reporting my cheating ass.

Now when this started I'm thinking "Who the hell is this?", and when he let the accusations fly I'm thinking "Wait, are you serious?", but when I attempted to explain that touch range skills only require the user to enter touch range for the animation to activate, so it doesn't matter if you keep running away after I catch up with you, once the skill on my bar that knocks you on your ass starts animating you're still going to fall flat whether you're stationary or 10 feet away... he'd already put me on ignore.

I wasn't even remotely worried that I would get banned, as I wasn't cheating and the guy was an idiot for thinking that I was (also apparently a sore loser), but the "drive-by tongue lashing" move struck me as a very rude thing to do - so I took a screenshot of the entire conversation, posted it on our forum, and intimated to my guild that I wouldn't be particularly sad to see him bombarded with PMs from a host of random strangers.
Oh, I've got a guy like that on WoW. He ised to be in guild and would cause drama. Have a toon 17 levels lower than me (and I'm new so the second lowest in the guild). He would brag about how he did in battlegrounds and tell us to duel him blah blah.

So I flew across the fucking world, hunted his ass down, and challenged him. He declined the duel and started in on it all again. We booted him for insulting all the women in the guild (words and threats I will not repeat) but decided not to report him for what he was saying. He started to whisper us all so one by one we blocked him. Except me.

He whispers me from time to time and I act like the spitting image of a gentleman. He tried to ream me out and cals me a pussy. So I let him go on a while then report him. THis has happened three times now and I giggle through my nose everytime
