Well, as long as they don't mess up the portrayal of Deadpool, it's all good with me.

The little action figure of him seems to be off-putting though.

To me, the Sabretooth issue is much the same as making the Joker the killer of Bruce's parents in the 89 Batman flick, done to make the character seem more relevant. Whatever. It seems like they're keeping pretty close to the "Origin" story in most other aspects, and the film looks pretty solid from the trailers. I think the bigger issue here should be what to think of how Deadpool is being portrayed. I know the Baraka style claws are really messing with people and the whole cyclops power thing....thats a definite yikes.
Have you ever read Origin? Sabertooth is Logan's half brother.

The only reason I'd go see it is because Gambit is in it...so it depends on how nostalgic I am in the coming weeks.

Actually does anyone here like Cyclops
Sort of. I mean, he shoots lasers out of his eyes. You have to admit, that's a little bad-ass.
Well there's that, and he's also apparently carrying part of the genetics needed to make the ultimate mutant, well, according to Mr. Sinister anyway. Although he does have a crap weakness, I mean, without his rose colored glasses or visor, he's basically blind, you know, with the lasers shooting out of his eyes uncontrollably. Still, he'd be a lot cooler if it wasn't for the brain damage.

I will be going to the Midnight showing, this movie looks so great. I can't wait! Finally we get to see Gambit and Deadpool!!! (I may be alone in this but I think Ryan Reynolds will make a great wise-cracking/kick ass Deadpool).

Also Chrome Alchemist: What do you think of Hugh Jackman saying that he wants the next Wolverine movie to be based on the 'Japan Story'? I think if this movie goes well it could be awesome.

I'm expecting this film to be fun and rather stupid.
Pretty much my thoughts exactly. Of coarse I am going to go see it because it will be a enjoyable movie to watch. Sometimes turning your brain off for 2 hours and enjoying the pretty light show is just as great as seeing something that is thought provoking.

I can pretty much guarantee this movie will be the former and not the later, but there is nothing wrong with that.

I'll be going to see it. I think it looks worth a look...
plus, there's Deadpool and Gambit in it. Seems impossible to mention this movie without mentioning the cameos. Am I the only one who thinks this isn't the best sign of things to come, if cameos are the main selling point?

Still, it's a must see for me.

Hmmm...I think i could work! There is enough back story there for them to fiddle with and if done right it could be pretty good. But I honestly think that if they do that, then they need to let Wolverine Rest and Recuperate for some years.

I also think that they should do the stories of the other X-Men, there are enough of them...for example Psylocke has been hideously underplayed, how about a Captain Britain or exiles movie?

Yes.

I heard the directors were allowing Wolverine to be wolverine for the first time, and go ape-shit insane killing people like a self-healing, sense-enhanced killing machine should.

And Ryan Reynolds, if Blade 3 is any indicator, should do fine as Deadpool.

I've read "Origin" like 6 times. I own 2 different copies of the book. The character you're referring to in "Origin" is named Dog, and he's not Sabretooth. My question to you is did you read "Origin". Check your facts, dude.

Please tell me he breaks the fourth wall? Please?
I sincerely doubt it, but that would be flippin awesome. It would be dope if Blind Al made a cameo. That would be sweet.

Oddly enough, every trailier (The Woliverine one included) that I saw during the opening of The Watchmen seemed impossibly cool.

I'm so going to see it. Firstly because the first date I went on with my boyfriend was to see X-2 and this comes out on the same day. Secondly, because X-men are very cool, and thirdly because Hugh Jackman is fucking awesome.

The trailers do look awesome, but the use of sabretooth seems a bad idea. Okay, they're well matched but the whole
brother
thing is stupid and we know he can't die, since he's in X-men. The cameos by minor characters is what the whole film rests on for me, although some daft Michael-Bay-style explosions and actions will do me fine...

But the reason deadpool be awesome is the fact that he breaks the fourth wall. And talks to his speachbubbles.
