I think the answer to this is obvious. Both in real life and Minecraft.

Since the door is already open, and the creeper is already on the threshold, I think it's safe to say that in a few moments my house will not only be missing one wall, but will also include a new coat of chunky wallpaper comprised mostly of my liquified remains.

As for my reaction, it would hardly matter. But I think it would be something along the lines of. "Crap now Imma need a new door. *SSSBOOM*".

I put logs down in front of my doors and set them on fire at night, as well as a log-parameter around any strong hold I build, which is constantly on fire.

Have you played 1.3? Logs seem to burn up really quickly now, which means I can't stand and look out upon the remnants of a fire-stricken forest any more, because all the trees disappear...
