EDIT: I live in México by the way, and i know things will work out in my favor, the laws over here tend to tip over to the workers side, not the company, and it doesn't matter how many regulations the company haves they would lose the moment we got into Jury because there would be like a hundred inspections, regulations and fines they would have to pay, i´m sure they would settle before reaching court.

Pretty sure even Mc Donalds has at will contracts at this point...which means if your boss wants you gone....your gone. Doesn't even need any infractions. The days of needing infractions to fire someone are long gone. Now if you just don't like someone...fire em. Just don't tell em why. Could be for many reasons that are illegal but it doesn't matter because it's at will. Fire someone and refuse to say why and nothing can be done about it.
I´m sorry but you seem to be under the assumption that "Mcdonalds" laws are over the country laws, "at will" is not acceptable here in MX, not even if the contract says it.

There is no law in this country that states an employer has to have a reason to fire someone. An employer can hire someone for a job, and state how long that job will last. You could for instance hire someone to work for you for 2 months and state it in the contract. At the end of 2 months they would no longer work for you because you stated that in the contract. If you fired them before 2 months were up you would need a good reason or you would have defaulted on your contract and have to compensate them for it.

Now employers use "At Will" contracts basically stating that someone is hired until their services are no longer needed. While you may have state laws that circumvent At Will contracts most of the states in this country do not (and i'm really surprised if your state does).

It's gotten really bad in many states and with many companies at this point since quite a few will not hire employers for more then 25 or so hours a week so they do not have to pay insurance etc. In addition many of them will not even give fixed hours/schedules making working multiple jobs quite difficult. Safeway for example in my area at least still does that (I've talked to many of the people working there since I worked at a safeway about 15 years ago and it was like that then).

If your state offers more protections for employees then most then don't advertise it cause seriously you'll probably get flooded quickly because of that. It's been an employers market for along time and for the most part employees have gotten the shaft.

If you want to sue for wrongful termination you need solid evidence that you were fired unfairly or that a contract between you and the employer was broken. Over time most employers have become masters of covering themselves so that is not easy if even possible at all to prove.

In the Mc Donalds case the company could simply state it wasn't making enough money and would need to lay off a few employees, and then a week later let you go. Unless you could prove they let you go because you gave a happy meal to a young kid you would have no case at all in court. Since many companies now ensure they can pretty much always fire someone by having many people hired for less hours, it basically means any employee is expendable and can be replaced quickly and hassle free. Ditch a problem employee and the others get 24 hours for a few months instead of 23 on average. No loss of money at all for the company and they are able to weed out any problem employees with little to no fuss. You'd seriously be better off suing the company because you spilled hot coffee on yourself while working at Mc Donalds then you would trying to sue for wrongful termination heh.

You should be fired anyways for not knowing how to do your job. You collect payment as you take the order. This is fast food, not a sit-down restaurant where you pay AFTER you get your order.

I can't take this seriously because there's absolutely no way you would take anyone's order, ready the meal, then ask for the amount due.

If somehow I did end up in that position I would fire myself for being an idiot, 'cause apparently I can't do my job properly. As for the happy meal, I think I'd take it from the kid, and walk the fuck out... 'cause if I haven't fired myself already, my boss certainly will.
