Today I was strolling down memory lane and remembered a particular moment in my life in which I was chased down a road by a Bulldog and was almost mauled at around age six or seven. This memory brought a string of thoughts as to why would anyone keep it as a pet, thus brings me to this thread.
What pet do you dislike most and have you ever had a particular bad memory with a pet/pets?
Personally I utterly despise chiwawas for all their characteristics including the song (I still can't get that damn song out of my head)
Please don't get angry if people don't like your type of pet but try to change their opinion if you want to and please reframe from mentioning more than one animal unless your re-telling a tale.

I've always been a dog person. Family member having a kennel is a factor there too.

I do not like cats!

I never had any bad luck like that with my own pets.
However just recently these two dogs wouldn't let me leave my house, I think they were Siberian Huskys, one was a black and white one and the other was gold, they ripped apart a cat right next to my door.

I agree with OPs dislike of Chihuahuas. In fact I hate all small dogs. I'm a dog lover, always have been cos I've always had a dog since the day I was born, I've had 3 yellow labs. But labs are real dogs, they're decent sized, they're a mans best friend. My point is I don't like small dogs, that's chihuahuas, terriers and any other dog the size of a cat. They're just not real dogs. Big dogs are real dogs; alsations, boxers, bulldogs, laboradors, sheepdogs etc. They're fit for duty, for being guide dogs or guard dogs, or just for being a best and loyal friend, they're not accessories! Little dogs are useless annoying yappy little things fit for the likes of Paris Hilton. If you want a dog, get a real dog, a man's dog!

It's really more the fault of the owner.

I'm more for smaller pets. Dachshunds for dogs. Cockatiels, hedgehogs, and ferrets. Hell, during my trip to Japan squirrels seemed to have been a popular pet.

I don't get why people like ugly pets. Like a bulldog, for instance.
That said, I love dogs, though the small ones do annoy me, after prolonged exposition. My mom has a Pomeranian and one of these days I think I'll "accidentally" punt it out the window.

Oh, My rottie was bought up in someones back garden roughly, but I spent hours a day with her, she has become really soft.

I love hedgehogs. They're generally speedy for their size. 'Zwoooom.'
As for dogs. Rotties and Shiba Inu set it for me.

I think animals are great but I wouldn't have one living in my home, ugh, the very thought.

People who own dangerous dogs shouldn't be surprised when it eats their toddler. Dogs constantly require attention, you may as well have children, they don't make your house stink quite so bad.

Hate seeing birds caged and fish swimming in tanks, if you disagree you have no soul.

Can't understand why anyone would want to keep a snake, lizard or big spider, maybe it's a attempt to appear edgy.

Rats, hamsters, gerbils, mice, all vermin, probably only good for teaching kids about death as they live for about twenty minutes.

As I've got a young family I suppose I'll have to put up with pets, may be able to tolerate a cat or a rabbit (if it lived outdoors).

The only pets I like and appreciate are Basset Hounds and aquarium fish. I can tolerate most animals, though.

Yes, why would you want a bulldog. They're ugly, stinky, lazy, drool, and stubborn. My brother's friend has a bulldog, and that's what my brother says about them.

I see scorpions in pet stores. Seriously, what is a scorpion good for? You could say "to show friends," but I hardly believe that a scorpion keeper will leave his mom's basement long enough to make friends.
