Who the hell told everyone that Lucien in Fable 2 was a final boss? He's not a boss, he's simply the conclusion to the story. A game doesn't NEED a final boss!
Welllll, the Giant Upside-down Triangle thing (haven't played the game in ages, sorry)
felt kind of "Final Boss"-y to me, I think people were just angry because we'd been taught throughout the game to hate Lucien and weren't allowed a showdown of epic proportions with him.

When thinking of dissapointing final bosses, i think of Serpent from Megaman ZX. He's supposed to be super powerful, and Model W is supposed to be the power to recreate the world, but when you fight him when he's merged with model W.. he looks like a duck.

System Shock 2, probably one of the best games ever made and it's also one of the scariest, but it's last boss encounter completely sucked.

Also I would say the boss fights in Alien vs Predator 2 were very lacking.

Other than that I cannot say much.

AND OH MY GOOOODDDD I FORGOT THAT.
Yeah, right, the last boss on Fable 2 was just...:/ RAAAAAGGGEEEE.
And it wasnt like Jack of blades was hard either but atleast he tried.
i mean just compare the way they look:
[/spoilers]
Yeah.... Lucius was rather a load of bollocks, wasn't he? I mean... you hit him once and nearly cut him in half!!

Maybe I'm just not a very good gamer, but I remember at the time of my first playthrough of Fable 1 Jack of Blades was a real challenge!

Then I went back, made another save and ended up beating him rather handily.... the only downside to him were those irritating minions... JEEZE! Stay down when I hit you!!

I hope Fable 3 has a better one. I'm not optimistic, though. Every time they add more stuff in the bosses become a little... pants.

Anyone up for a rigourous overhaul of the Arkham Asylum boss fights?
(Although I did enjoy simply planting Batman's boots into the back of Victor Zsaz' head. That was just funny)

Fire Emblem 6.
The boss is a OHKO, even if you were at level 1.
It's ridiculously easy and so anticlimactic, considering how hard the game was.

The Portal monster from Border lands. What a fucking waste of time.
The Secret Armory of general Knoxx kind of redeemed it, but I agree with you. The entire game you're expecting to find a giant vault filled with weapons and mods and money and you end up with bad hentai.

Baldurs Gate 2... he's a caster, so if you have any of the items in the game that reflect or make you totally immune to magic, its a cake walk.

Super secret tactic was put on cape of magic reflection, walk in without any backup. Then stand there and let him kill himself!

Hell the Dragons and Greater daemons are harder to beat then he is!!
Problem is, you can't make everyone in your party immune to magic, and if your saves weren't good enough, you could get killed by death-causing spells iirc.
My easy-peasy solution for the Suldanesselar encounter was:
1. Run everybody out of his LOS
2. Summon Skeleton Warriors
3. Send Skeleton Warriors in (they have a lot of Magic Resistance)
4. Rinse, repeat until dead (and out of Death Spell)

Irenicus, the archmage, killed by 3rd level priest spells.
Can't do this for the rematch in Hell because of demons, but it was still good times.

Throne of Bhaal nerfed the Cloak of Mirroring from Spell Reflection to Spell Deflection. It makes more sense that way (not as LOL-OP) but it's not as fun as auto-killing spellcasters which use targeted spells.

Saints Row 2 was pathetic. Great all around, but I'm not even sure why they bothered. He had very little health and was armed with a pistol while you could be walking around with an RPG, an Assualt Rifle with a grenade launcher, A 50. Pistol, and he is there with little pew pew toy...

Went down in a single shot, and the enemies before him were harder!

Calumon: LittleBIGPlanet could have been much harder...
I don't think he was planned to be hard. I think the softness actually had a moral of some sorts wrapped up in it. [I could probably think of one, but I can't be effed, greed is bad, yaddah, yaddah, yaddah].

Gears of War 2, I just beat it with my fiance like 3-4 days ago, we were both incredibly disappointed.

At fable 2, I though the end was funny, I just shot him in the face, and when you think about it; when enemies are giving long speeches, why do we let them talk? Id do exactly what what happened there.
Exactly what I did... Except I pumped full with more lead than a Chinese toy.

OT: Halo 3. A lightbulb, really?

Mass Effect 2's boss wasn't difficult at all and sort of disappointing. On the harder difficulties bog-standard critters are harder than that battle. Shame, I loved the game. Dragon Age: Origin's final boss fight was a bit of a let-down too. There wasn't very much challenge.
Dragon Age was one of those games that NEEDED a final boss. While I don't mind that it was very difficult, I wish it was more... creative, something. I don't know what it needed, but it was lacking something in the battle.

Fallout 3 vanilla, kill a guy and then die. Or send Lyons to her death.

Another one I thought was the end to oblivion. It left me with the thought "Wow, that was pretty epic, I wish I could of fought in the boss battle."
I think you can send fawkes in if you have him as a partner

Killzone 2. Maybe I was just playing on an easy difficulty or something but I killed him using only my knife. Thought I might get a trophy or something.

Gears of war 2, did it even attack you, Raam was mental but all the bosses in 2 were just easy.

Ganondorf. That's all I have to say really is Ganondorf. Every single Zelda game that has him as the villain touts him as this evil mastermind, some uber powerful sorcerer, and somehow he always manages to be the single easiest boss in the whole game. Also, I'll go ahead and say Ninja Gaiden Black's final boss. I don't know quite what happened there, as the entire game was pretty damn hard, but for some reason just going after him slashing wildly took him down with no problems.

The final boss of inFamous was pretty bad. The only real difficulty that came from that fight was his ridiculously large health bar that took a huge amount of time to reduce.

Need For Speed Underground 2, even on hard the final racer was so piss poor you would lap him. This the only final racer in the NFS series that actually made me want to give up on the series. Luckily NFS Most Wanted redeemed the series. Can't wait for the Hot Pursuit remake, maybe but probably not, Yahtzee will review it.
