If I just wanted a gun I'd pick the needler. Aiming is nearly an afterthought and I could dispense spectacular disembowelment upon my foes... Also I could sell the technology to the highest bidder. Money is always nice.

Though I suppose having my very own High Charity would be a better means to the same end... I've always wanted my own city, fleet, and moon... Excellent value!

I guess it might be fun to meet one of the Left 4 Dead survivors. And it'd be great to have one around since their being here would most certainly bring in the Infection, and we need to have someone who knows what they're doing :D (The only one I know I wouldn't want is that redneck windbag Ellis from the second one. I haven't played the game, but I've heard his quotes, and I'd shoot him before a zombie.)

Weapon wise, ill go with the Rhino gun from Ratchet and Clank or maybe a piece of eden. Eh whatever ill go with the piece.

Character wise ill go with Cthulu or maybe a gLaDos voice in a box, just to piss people off.

A console activated by the magical tilde key.

Now I can look at someone, type "/kill" and they flop to the ground. I can also type "/giveall", which would give me everything ever created.

What could possibly go wrong?

Character: Captain Falcon from SSBB. Just walk around with him falcon punching whatever I decide needs to be punched (everything).
Weapon: The BFG 9000. No explanation needed, its the god damn BFG!
Tool: The Portal Gun from Portal. I cannot begin to imagine how awesome that would be.

how about a ME2 omni-tool? then you could scan and copy crap, then hack the global defense network, then shoot supercooled plasma capable of snap-freezing people (otherwise known as the cryo blast)

I'd go with the portal gun on this one. I can think of many practical uses (and twice as many impractical uses. Just think, I'd make millions on betting people I can lick my own elbow.) It would basically take the cake (see what I did there?)
