How about getting rid of people that use TF2 avatars too? I mean, fair is fair, if we're gonna hit one or two groups that have annoying people in the fanbases we should broaden it to all groups that have annoying fans.

EDIT: Not meaning to imply that you're annoying, just putting out that one bad section of a fanbase should not condemn the rest to the slings, flames and arrows that some of their compatriots gathered.

i think everybody should be forced to use an avatar thats nice and cat related and not anything to do with space/doctor who =^.^=

Personally, I'd change two things about the way posts are done on the forums. Firstly, I'd make it to where you have to have at least fifty posts before you can post a thread. This would all but eliminate the spambots who join and start new threads. Secondly, I'd make it to where once you hit that fifty post mark, you no longer need to do a captcha. I mean really, I have over 2000 posts. Why the hell do I need to keep doing captchas? I think at this point it's safe to say I'm not a spambot.

I agree completely with this whole statement. It seems like a no-brainer to me and doesn't sound too difficult to implement.

I would also like to see a better way of getting to the major articles all at once. They used to have the magazine and every week i could go to the current issue and read the major articles for that week. It's much more difficult to find them now since they all just look like regular news stories until you click on them. I would like to see a single click list of them like there used to be. Even if it's just a tag that i can search, like 'major article' or something, that would be awesome.

If this functionality already exists, then I still don't retract this statement, I amend it to point out that it is very difficult to find. I've been looking and I can't figure it out. Therefore it is too hard to find and needs to be fixed.

forgot something. more news stories on gaming on stuff for a broader demographic, when MML3 was cancelled, all this site did was just say that, nothing about how the guy was cut out of UMvC3 or how the company blamed the fans, instead i saw story after story on someone doing stuff in minecraft. i dont give a crap about if someone made a giant mr. hanky in minecraft, have a whole article at the end of the week and do some some actual stories

I want them to get rid of the mass advertising of the one thing, where every time i see one video i see the same ad over and over. if they just ran multiple ads instead of mass advertising the same thing i think that would bring in more money to pay people... I would support less original content, particularly in terms of videos, but I would make sure that what I did keep was the best. By focusing on quality over quantity, I would also be ensuring that my content creators were compensated for their work in a timely manner.

I would force mods to write an explanation for every punishment they give that is visible to everyone, and also have them sign each one. That way there is never any confusion over moderator action. We'd know exactly why someone was punished without having to guess. We'd know which mod did it, so if there are any complaints they can be directed to them. As it stands now punishments are vague and difficult to understand at times. The mods can also hide behind anonymity, so we have no way of telling when one is abusing their power.

I really think this would improve the site.

The clan that runs my favorite minecraft server has a setup like that, and it works very well.

If I could change this site, I would bring back game dogs.

Honestly, I'd probably start by banning everyone under the age of 21. In deference to the mods and their desire to avoid any open flaming, I won't really go into the details of why.

To an extent this. I get giving people a warning for low content posting but it's getting a little out of hand. If it's possible to answer the thread in one word then it should be okay, it's not like suddenly everyone will only ever use one word. Most people are on this site to make everyone read their opinions so they're more than likely going to put them out there. All it's doing is forcing people to put words at the end of their posts that they didn't want to put there. Like saying "these extra words are to make my post longer".

I also really want to know what insult is that long.


Any of my other desired changes are largely community based rather than site based so I'll save those for another day.
