I would revive J.R.R Tolkien solely so I can take him to an all-night movie marathon session of the Lord of the Rings trilogy and ask him what he think of it- there are some things (the Balrog, the Nazgul, the charge of the Rohirrim at Pelennor Fields) that I'm sure would make him weep for joy and other things (the characterisations of Merry, Pippin, Gimli and Denethor, the scaling down of Helm's Deep) that would just make him weep.

I would kill Stephenie Meyer because killing one of the worst popular authors of all time to revive one of the best has a certain appealing "rightness" to it. Also because I think Twilight goes beyond merely "bad" and into outright offensive and she frankly has it coming.

I would revive Nikola Tesla for being a badass and so he can get the respect he deserved for his inventions, on top of that I would hope he would go on to make more brilliant inventions.

I'd remove Kim Jong Il, perhaps North Korea could then North Korea could become a proper country though I doubt it would ever be that simple.
