You can't pause the game?! What other games can't you pause...

Just got Demon Souls and found out you can't pause. Does this have something to do with the online deal?

Also, any other games out there that don't allow you to pause? I really want to avoid any more like this if possible. I play video games in between doing other things and I don't like leaving them on...

You can't Pause because of the online i guess so it doesn't mess up its server by people constantly disconnecting from pausing.

It bothers me when a game measures your playtime and doesn't stop when you pause. Why? Would that be sooooo hard to program?

Solution for that: kite them with magic arrow

as for the pause feature, you can either clear the room, or equip a thiefs ring. that way, non of the monsters will attack you unless you bump into them.

I can't think of many games you can't pause. But I hate games where when you press the Xbox button it doesn't automatically pause the game. I'm playing Fifa, I have a sudden urge to see if my friend is online, I press the Xbox button and HOLY CRAP! The game didn't pause itself! It's just annoying.

If I recall correctly, you cannot pause in Phantasy Star Universe.

In Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 you can bring up what looks like a pause menu, but you can still be killed during that time .

You can pause Hitman by pressing the start button. Pausing on the map screen would make no sense because you need to see the movement of NPCs.

I still love DS though. So good. Hard... but then I beat Phalanx and got a large amount of souls and now i have an axe and a spear. I hate falling off edges though..GAH... no map.
