Solid Snake, because METAL GEEEAR! But, joking aside, Travis touchdown is actually a much more logical choice for me. Yeah, ill go with that.
It's a really tough choice on Gamesverse but I think I gotta back the Pokémon universe too. Money's easy, people leave useful stuff all over the place, you can walk into anyone's home and be welcomed as a friend, and you get to ride Dragons and Sea Serpents whenever you please.
As for which character to be, probably Big Sister from Bioshock 2. Bounce around effortlessly, telekenectically strong enough to drag a human into my ADAM needle, conjure flames from nowhere, a suit strong enough to suffer the pressures of the deep deep water; admittedly some of those qualities are unneeded when you have Pokémon in your pocket but it's nice to be able to do them all yourself.

Either Commander Sheppard, or the nameless champion in Oblivion/Morrowind. The whole Universe to explore, or Tamriel...Actually I'd probably go with Tamriel.
Any of my WoW characters would be my first choice, though if I could chose specifically my Troll shadow priest, with my knowledge of the entire world plus his spells, I could take over Azeroth within a week, though I would probably just become an adventurer.

At least some open world game - you'd actually get to live. Maybe not Fallout though - too many mutants for my taste.
The Old Republic would be pretty cool, or Oblivion. Definitely NOT BioShock or anything like that - you would essentially spend your whole life getting freaked out at anything that moves...
