Ah well, you have to die of something right?

Also, order your tinfoil hat from e-bay now. I recommend Olicon's grade A home made tin foil hat. It shields out subliminal messages as well as UV and Gamma rays!
I'll take two please.

Yes, the ordinary homemade tinfoil hats aren't good enough. For one, the wrinkles cause interference with the beneficial transmissions from the Pegasus cluster, and for two, homemade don't normally come with the extra layer of laminate inside, the grounding wire, or the charge-storing capacitor and induction coil for analysis.

MSG is made from potato. You know what else can be made from that? Vodka! At least I think it is.
You know what else? MSG is an anagram for MGS--the game with most conspiracy theory in the world. Coincidence? I think not, muwahahaha!

Yup, vodka is a grain-neutral spirit and can be made from potatoes.

You'll also be pleased to know that Sulphuric Acid, Nitric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Gold and Platinum have their own E numbers, so they don't have to be mentioned by name.
Most people know about the "happy pill" E110, E122, E102, E124, E104, E129. And our old friend Sodium Benzoate is still lurking around despite being linked to hyperactivity.
Then you've got the naturally occurring cyanide in banana peel, yogurts that promote the bacteria swimming through it like a horde of maggots, DDT in fruit/vegetables/cereals, BSE in Cows, Scrapie in Sheep, Salmonella in Chickens and Eggs, Rat Poison in Mars Bars, HN51 in Poultry/Game.

Have a nice lunch.

Don't forget that according to decomposition and chaos theory, you're eating both dead people and modified faecal matter. Om nom nom.

MSG? You're worried about MSG? Let me tell you there is a far more dangerous substance in all the food you eat.

Allow me to introduce Dihydrogen Monoxide. This colourless, odourless, tasteless liquid is highly lethal in large doses. Hundreds of people every year are lost to it in what would otherwise seem innocent circumstances, perhaps even thousands. The number of actual casualties remains unknown. This terrifying chemical is not only found in food but in cleaning fluids, poisons, biotoxins, lakes and rivers. In short, everywhere. And you should be afraid.
Been a while since I heard someone pull that. You forgot the fact that it's both acidic and basic at the same time. In fact, it's so acidic that it will chew its way through rocks (example being that Grand Canyon is actually carved out through flow of natural dihydrogen monoxide).

I fail to see why we're so afraid.
Monosodium Glutamate dissolves into Na+ and glutamate anions.
Sodium can be found in anything and the other is a naturally occurring amino acid, one of the building bricks of proteins.
In other words, every cell of your body has these in it. Why aren't we dead yet if it's that dangerous?

See this guy really knows his tin hats.

Also you should take up door-to-door sales as a career. With a pitch like that you could sell sand to an arab.

As my RTECS data shows, it isn't THAT dangerous, just in high concentrations (just like anything else, even water or oxygen) so yeah, be cautious but not alarmed.

Shut up! We're not going to let logical deduction get in the way of a perfectly good mass hysteria!

The salmonella in chickens only lives in their guts or on egg shells, which we don't eat. Still it's the reason you should always cook poultry properly, though salmonella infections are rare and strictly monitored. (same with BSE)
DDT is banned since the early nineties.
The bacteria in yoghurt are good bacteria, which live in your intestines already and only help you with your nutrient uptake. (there are more good bacteria in your guts then cells in your entire body already!)
And vitamine C has it's own E number and is often used as a preservative, they don't mention this either.
We shouldn't be paranoid about our food, there's good science behind it and it's quality is constantly monitored.

Anyways, I'm off to lunch, and I will enjoy it.

Anyway, MSG is fucking awesome. It culls the herds of people not smart enough to avoid it. Also, I find it rather delicious. Luckily I don't have functioning organs.

Hahahaa, I love the TGS reference.

You really do know your tin foil hats. How would you like to work for the R&D division in my company?

And 2 tin foil hats are being mailed to you as we speak. They should arrive by tomorrow. Please check that the security wax seal is unbroken to make sure the postal authority hasn't meddled with your product while in transit.

Technically anything in excess is harmful to you even vitamins. its all about moderation people, granted moderation for some stuff is extremely low to none.

Cyanide in banana peels? I haven't heard that one - it certainly occurs in apricot pits - and i think other related species including almonds - which is why you shouldnt eat too many of them raw.

There is a joke in biotech circles that if potatoes were submitted for approval as a genetically modified crop there is no way in hell they would be accepted by the regulators, due to the amount of toxins they contain.

Among other phrases, there is a quote in my pub:

"You don't want to drink water, that's the stuff that corrodes pipes!"

TGS quote! From... whatever one when it's cheerleaders birthday and they have to jump into the lions mouth.

'I got you this half-digested gazelle carcass!'
'GAZELLE CARCASS!'
