Considering one of the rules of the Death Note is that the user can neither go to Heaven nor Hell for eternity, I wouldn't use it.

If you read the last volume, Ryuk states that there just isn't a Heaven or Hell at all[

Anyway, no I wouldn't use it, but I'd probably just keep it... you know... for safe keeping >> <<

I never read the manga, just watched the anime. There's no reference to Heaven and Hell beyond the Death Note instructions in the anime I believe.

Oh okay. I never saw the anime passed the first few episodes. I think I stopped watching once

Question: What if you write your own name in the deathnote? Do you still not go to heaven of hell? And what happens when the deathnote runs out of paper to write on?

OT: The temptation to be Kira would be amazing... albeit I wouldn't do a Light and kill every dude on the TV they say is a criminal. Kim Jong-Il and cohorts? Would die a comically lighthearted death on the toilet with explosive diarrhea. Shitting ones self to death would be my preference for those few I could bring myself to off.

But I couldn't play the Judge like Kira. Its not morally right for one man to pass judgement over others, when he himself is just a susceptible and prone to commit sin.

I'd do one of two actions. 1. Burn it and move on with life. Humanity does not need more suffering. Or 2. Gain Presidency and kill all enemies, osama, and corrupt world leaders.
